What is the Scam by Disney????

Never trust the website. Until you book it online or you call CRO for assistance, the website is notorious for being inaccurate when it comes to availability. This comes as no shock to me as i basically use the website to view prices, and even those aren't usually correct. Example: Right now 12/7/08 to 12/12/08 shows CR gv at $320.00 via CRO/online whereas website says rooms start at $270.00. None are apparently available for this price starting november through december. Not sure about anytime prior to these months.

Room-only reservations can be canceled within 5 days of check in date. That's what their rules state when you book.

As far as checking through Expedia first, Expedia has some rooms reserved that are not available if you book directly through Disney. So you can see a room category available on Expedia yet not available on the Disney site or on the phone.

Personally I've used the Disney website to book all of our trips and never had a problem. Actually I called to get availability and was told by the person on the phone that they use the exact same system to book the rooms. Sometimes the website has web-only deals. For example I once booked my stay at POP myself online WHILE on the phone with CRO.

Not sure what you mean, but I just looked it up and that's what I get :

I check the website a lot for rates, packages, etc. and have experienced what others have mentioned about availability coming and going. However, I have had to clear my cookie cache/temporary internet files to get it to "fix" the website issue on occasion and once I did this the website did not give me inaccurate info on "no availability".

I've only had to do this when I have been checking multiple different scenarios back to back. I don't think this answers the majority of the issues mentioned here, but for those surfing their site quite a bit, this may help you.
