On the bottom of the page is a line that says: Subscribe to the DISboards RSS Feeds and then a "click here" button. What does that mean? I didn't want to click it without knowing what I was clicking it, me the stupid one when it comes to modern technology...

I was afraid it might put me on some moderator watch list... Just kidding, I'm already on that... :rotfl2: ;)

Really Slow Server? :confused3 Just kidding, but I don't either. I have seen this on a few other sites as well.

:rotfl: In that case we've all downloaded the Really Slow Server! :teeth: Or the Really Snockered Server

I don't know all the technicals, you could probably go on the tech support board for that but I have a basic understandin.

In order to use the RSS feeds, you need to have a reader program. You click the orange button and paste the URL into your reader. Then, when you open your reader, it will show you threads (not sure which ones, I don't have this site. Maybe ones that have had changes). If you want to go to the thread, you would need to click on it. Basically, you can check for changes in threads without actually being on the site.

Something like that at least...

Hmmm, I suppose I should know what a reader is. :rotfl:

Sounds neat, though! Maybe I should click and see what happens. It's not as if my computer will blow up, right? ;)

I'm not an expert either, and have no idea about the Disboards RSS, but I do know that I maintain our cities website and we can subscribe to RSS feeds to place a link to the news on our website. We are subscribed to the Minnesota Public Radio news and it updates on the site with news when it happens.

No, your computer won't blow up, all you will see is a page of gibberish.

It really is neat, I just wish I could explain it better!
