What is the best pixie dusting you have received?

I too paid with my disney chase card in full. They say you get a $50 OBC when using it. However, after speaking to disney, they told me that the $50 OBC is not combinable with the kids sail free offer. Are you sure you got that $50 OBC as well?

Yes! Confirmed with my TA and have the letters showing the total...bringing those with us!! :) Calling it pixie dusting! :)

i called them again, they told me not combinable with the KFO offer..they change the rules for each person I have noticed. they were also rude me with me and said " as we told you before, the KFO offer is NOT combinable with the $50 disney chase offer". (even though I know it is, as you are the proof as well as several others). They are nothing but liars. I called and had them credit me back on the chase card and charge to an airline card I have to get some miles and I also cancelled my disney rewards account as I want nothing to do with their scam offers.

In 9 cruises we have been upgraded three times. The first time we booked a cat. 12 gty and were upgraded to a cat. 9. Next we booked a cat. 9 with a cabin number and were upgraded to a "secret verandah" cat 7 (it used to be a cat 5!). Next month we have a cat 7 gty booked and will be sailing in a cat. 4 thanks to an upgrade! I think it depends on how full the ship is sailing and how many people they need to move in order to free up the lower cat cabins. They can feel free to move me everytime if they want!

Last year we were celebrating our anniversary on the Magic. I was in shutters ordering the CD of our pictures and said hi to Captain Tom. He asked if I had a good anniversary and I said yes. He saw the large stack of pictures I was carrying in Shutters and asked if I was buying all of them (it was EVERY picture we had taken) and I said I was getting the CD but looking for a few with the borders. He asked the officer in Shutters to hand him a few of the photo holders. She did and he then handed them to me, commented "hope you come sail again" to me, and told the same officer, she gets this stack on me. They offered me a bag, but I was in shock, said no and thanks - and headed back to finish packing.

Oh...that's just "Wonder"ful! Made me smile! That is really some pixie dust!

After meeting Clayton, The Cruise Director and chatting with him...I mentioned I was the cruise director of our group (2 other cabins at that time)...the last night of the cruise I had a magical moments certificate listing me as "honorary cruise director"! What made this so so special and "Pixie Dust" for me is that out of all of our 8 cruises....I feel compelled to be the "Cruise Director"...organizing gift baskets for each cabin (up to 8 on certain cruises), I also "pixie dust" our groups cabin doors NIGHTLY with something new a "Wonder"ful...and if the cruise happens to be only a couple of cabins...well, I'd bring enough for random cabins! I've even sent "loot" to friends who are getting ready to cruise... and along with their "loot" sent more "loot" for them to surprise some more friends that happen to be sailing at the same time....and, whenever, I hear of someone going....I quickly offer to create them door decorations...I'm thrilled to just know a part of me is going..So, "Honorary Cruise Director" for The Disney Wonder is a job and award I take seriously...just sad to know my time on the Wonder is coming to an end with it's move...I'm just going to start "Dream"ing!

Don't know for sure if this is Pixie Dust I've got, but my second payment for our fall 2010 cruise has never appeared on my AMEX statement. (it was for $1000.00!) DCL HAS their money from AMEX, but AMEX has no record of it! Although that charge may catch up with me in another month or so, IF it DOESN'T, I'll consider that Pixie Dust thrown to me!

Not DCL, but I had something similar happen to me over 10 years ago. We purchased a computer for approx $3000.00. I put in on a card w/no interest or payments for one year. I had never done such an offer before so when I didn't get a statement for a couple of months, I thought it was because of the offer. I wanted to pay it off during the year so I called and requested they send me a statement. They said that they had no record what so ever of the sale! Never got a statement!

Back to the OPs question, we've only cruised once. Booked a cat 9 and sailed in a cat 9. FOr our cruise next year, we booked a GTY 11B. I'll be happy just to be on the boat but will gladly take an upgrade if they offer it to me :goodvibes.

We (DH, DDs-5 yrs old twins and me) just got back from our 1st cruise ever!!! Disney Cruise Lines is awesome! Disney called us 3 days prior our embarkation day with a surprise complimentary upgrade from a Cat. 6 to Cat. 4 stateroom. We were so happy with the little bit more of living space and one of my daughter did not have have to sleep in the upper berth which I was terrified that she'll fall from.

This happened to me once....and the charge did eventually show up. It was something crazy like 9 months later. It did catch up with me:scared1:

On our first cruise, we were upgraded from a 9 to a 6. This was very smart on DCL's part, since we quickly decided we *needed* the verandah. For our upcoming cruise, the 10 night Med, we're in a 4. I don't expect an upgrade, though would be thrilled to try a suite if Disney really feels that we should, lol.

IN November 2009, we sailed on the Wonder. We were the Family of the Cruise - maybe they choose more than one family - but we were so excited. Our first surprise was left to us when we were in the Bahamas - a plate of cookies with a note telling us we were chosen. the second day was a cheese and fruit platter and menus that we could order full breakfast from one of the restaurants as room service (we did this on our castaway cay day). I know we could get many of these things from rom servies but just having it appear everyday was really cool....I loved it.

We didn't get a room upgrade for pixiedust...but in our opinion we got something better. We just returned from the Jan 30th Eastern Magic. As you can tell from the icon picture, my DD(5) loves JoJo. One of the cast members (who we're pretty sure plays JoJo) found out how much she loved her and scheduled a special meeting with her folllowing her activity in the Oceaneers Club. JoJo walked with her all around deck 5 and picked her up to waive to the princesses below on deck 5 during the princess gathering. This was the most exciting thing that has happened to her and it was truely some major pixie dusting! Then the kids club leaders made her a special keepsake picture and also included a Special Moments cert for her to keep. I can't that that cast member enough!

Last May booked the 4 nights get 3 free at the Grand Floridian for our anniversary. When we arrived we found out we were upgraded to concierge level room in the Sugar Loaf building including two roses and a bottle of champagne.

Our cruise was magic from the beginning to the end. But I have to say the most magical thing was Brent, the cruise director left goodie bags in the room for the girls, with cheerleading, High School Musical stuff for them and an invitation to a private meet and greet with ALL of the characters. It was up in Studio Sea, before the Til We meet again at the end of the cruise. It was something, to see all of the characters together in one place. Too much fun.

We just returned from our first cruise that started on Jan 24th (have posted day one on the trip report) and we were upgraded from a Cat 4 to a one bedroom concierge suite...how great is that...there were other surprise moments that will be detailed in the trip report, but this one blew us away..

We went on the 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise when we were upgraded from a Cat. 9 to a Cat. 5. Best thing was that we had linked reservations with my parents and their friends and they were all upgraded too and we were in rooms right next to each other.

On our 1/23/10 cruise we had treats in our room each day from our Head Server. Not sure why he 'loved' us so much, but we sure loved him!

So - were you able to wheedle the $100/pp in OBC out of DCL - even though you booked after the cut-off date to get the onboard credit?
