What is a "zero entry" pool?

It's a pool that is designed like walking into the water at the beach. The pool starts level with the ground around it and as you walk in, the water gets deeper. It's a great idea with little kids since they don't have to walk down three steps of a pool and then end up over their head. AKL, Poly, GF, BC/YC, SSR all have zero entry pools. None of the moderates or values do.

At the lowest end you can walk right in. Kind of like a beach-as you walk in- it gets deeper.

Basically a pool without steps! It is a gradual entry just like you were walking into the ocean. The dept ranges from the first inch to "whatever" - 6 feet, etc. This is very handy for handicap use or young children. The concept is great.

Define zero entry pool

zero entry pool. A swimming pool with a section that slopes from water level downwards, allowing people to wade into the pool. Sometimes, the edge of this section will be covered with sand, replicating a beach.

No stairs to climb down into the pool. The water tapers off to a "zero depth." Think of it like the beach. It's great for little ones to be able to splash and play in the water. It also makes it easy for you to sit with them without being submersed in the pool.
