What Have You Seen Other Drivers Doing When Driving?

Once when I was taking a Metro bus to work downtown, we were stopped at a red light and I could feel someone staring at me. So, I looked down at the car stopped next to me and he was... guess, because I can't type it on here or it'll get deleted.

I remember looking around to see if I was the only one noticing it and apparently I was. The woman in front of me was putting on her makeup and the man behind me was reading a newspaper.

It was like my own personal pervert.

Reading your post and seeing your username makes me ask the question...was he there yet? :rotfl2: Sorry, couldn't resist!

Maybe I'm a klutz, but I couldn't imagine doing half these things without rear ending someone or ending up in the ditch. Of course a lot of these people do get into accidents.

How can anyone drive while eating a bowl of anything?

And as to breastfeeding--I always did that in a stopped can, strapped the baby back in and then drove. I was never in that big of a hurry!

As to the police officers, I'm amazed at how the cruisers have laptops and the officers can drive while doing their computer.

When I was driving to SIL's house one year for Thanksgiving, there was a lady in a car in front of us curling her hair with one of those butane powered curling brushes!!!

I have seen people typing on laptops resting on their steering wheel. Once saw a person watching a movie on their laptop, again propped on the steering wheel, while driving on route 128. Let's just say that it was not a family friendly movie either.

These are all so good. I guess I need to pay more attention to my fellow drivers. :lmao:

Yes, you do! :teeth: I am a big people watcher--always have been. I think it's one thing that I like about WDW so much since there are so many people to watch and interact with.

Agh! :rotfl2:

I just remember doing a double-take and not having anyone to talk to until I got in my office. It was surreal!

I can't remember if it was in Houston, but just recently on our news there were two teenagers arrested for watching a "very, very adult" video in a fast-food drive thru!

The car behind them called the police.

There was a convertable on the other side of the road one day (not the highway, but a major road), coming towards us. We couldn't see the driver until we got closer. He and the passenger were doing some pretty serious making out as he drove along. They were sort of both leaning into the middle of the car, so his head was level with the dashboard

How can people do that when driving? I won't say that I've never done anything, but, well, there's only so much that would be safe to do. :rotfl:

I've been seeing a lot of that lately, but thankfully at red lights. I guess those people can't stay apart for the short drive to wherever.

I'm not a big fan of PDA in general. Hand holding, a peck on the lips, hug that doesn't involve the need for a crowbar, etc--that's ok, but I can't believe what some people are comfortable doing with an audience. My DD and I saw plenty of it at WDW. Her response to me was the typical--get a hotel room. :rotfl:

Well the strangest thing I ever saw, I can't describe here  Others have included :
last Thanksgiving on our way to my Mother in laws we saw this woman eating her turkey dinner propped up on her steering wheel.

I've seen people shaving, putting on make-up, reading the paper, reading work-reports spread out on their dashboard, digging for gold, painting their nails, flossing their teeth, and popping pimples :crazy2:  and of course cell phone talkers who are oblivious to everything else around them :confused3
kinda scary!!

Well, this wasn't exactly shocking, but it was funny.

I was driving down the road and was stopped at the red light. The VERY curly haired lady in front of my started scrunching and fluffing her hair while waiting.

Then we get to the next stop light, and she starts scrunching and fluffing again.

Next light, scrunch and fluff.

This went on and on. Her hair must have been a huge frizzy mess by the time she got where she was going!

And she probably thought her hair looked so much better when she was done with it! :teeth:

My boss emails me via his Blackberry me while he drives.

:rotfl2: I'm sure as a high schooler that was a highlight of the trip. :teeth:

OK, if someone is going to mess around wouldn't they not do it when a bus is passing by? I don't get it.

frndshpcptn, how would your boss be able to type? I'm telling you, these people are a lot more coordinated than I am!
