DD aged 9 was into pins this year, amongst her collection were the Baby Minnie & Baby Minnie, she lost Mickey:( On our last day I spotted one at MGM so I bought it, and also 2 Wizard of Oz magnets. WE LOST THEM TOO! We've been home a week and they're nowhere to be found. Such a shame
What did you lose?

My keys, which had my house, car and office keys on them. No one ever found them. :o :p

Last trip I left my favortie grey cashmere sweater in the hotel room...where suprisingly(ha ha) nobody found it!! Okay..so some maid is wearing my sweater!!

The trip before that I left my black evening purse somewhere..thank god, it just had some lipstick and a pick in it and a few dollars!

I lost my prescription eyeglasses at Jellyrolls during DISCON last year :( Never found them.

DD lost her Tinkerbell light chaser at Shoney's (yuck). We went back the next night to see if by chance it was there. It was and the cashier said she had been having fun playing with it.:)

The only other thing we lost was DD's favorite sweatshirt.

I lost a diamond bracelet in the Houston (or was it the Dallas)airport. We were changing planes and had only carry-on luggage. The bracelet was on my wrist and slipped off somewhere in the rush to get to our connecting flight! I have a feeling that someone has been enjoying it all these years. (It wasn't all that expensive, more sentimental - DH gave it to me.)

Does my ever-lovin' mind count? Our last trip we had 6 adults, 6 kids (ages 8, 7, 7, 6, 4, 1). 2 of the adults acted younger than the 6 kids.

I don't think I lost anything else though.

DH and I got marrried on a Friday night. We arrived in WDW for our honeymoon Saturday afternoon. Our first full day at a park was on Sunday, so of course we went to MK. One of the first rides we rode was Splash Mountain. DH and I got splashed during the ride, DH shook his hands, and his WEDDING RING fell into the water! I cried and cried the rest of the ride. We reported it to City Hall, and the next day they found it! :)

On any trip... the biggest thing we've lost is each other! When I was a little kid our family was driving in tandem across the Northern US States and we had a big miscommunication with which exit we were stopping at and got separated. First exit in Wisconsin vs First exit with food (which turned out to be #2). One went to one, one went to the other. We drove around and around and around and around Hudson Wisconsin trying to "find" each other. This was well before the days that we all had cell phones of course. We could have been driving around for a REALLY long time, especially since one car admits that they never would have left Hudson without finding the others. Our car put up a sign using my paper, crayons and tape on a street post (desperate, obviously! :p ) ... the other was talking to truckers asking them to use the CB radio to see if anyone saw the other car. How did we end up finding each other? We ran into each other when we all got hungry at the same time and ended up at a Hardees, LOL. :teeth: Exit 1, Hudson Wisconsin is still a huge joke with us to this day.

At Disney... the biggest thing I can think of losing off the top of my head is an umbrella in Epcot.

This year my 15 yr old lost his camera on a ride and last year my youngest lost his hat in Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

<font color=navy>At Disneyland I lost my dd's Tigger ears, and in the same night I lost my umbrella (even after TLK rescued it for me once before)

The most expensive item I lost was my camcorder at the Caribbean Beach Resort. It was after a long day at the parks, and my arms were full. I put it down so I could unlock the door to our room. We walked in, and after a few minutes I realized I left it outside - never saw it again, even after we reported it.

Since it was a gift from my dad - and he was with us that trip - I mumbled some excuse about wanting to go to Downtown Disney, and ended up going to Walmart and buying another one. Boy, did that put a big dent in my pocketbook!  :(

we have been lucky in that we really have't lost anything on our trips.

EXCEPT...

on our last trip which was our wedding/honeymoon, dh left our CAR KEYS in the pocket of his tux when he returned them.  :p

we were at wdw for 2 weeks after that and neither the hotel bellhops (who we left the tux with (that was the procedure) nor the company that picked it up claimed they had them.

FORTUNATELY i had my keys with me as well so we could get home and when we got home there was a package from the beach club with our keys in it.

skuttle -- i just read your story!

dh proposed to me at DL and said he was originally going to propose in pirates of the caribbean -- one of my favorite rides-- but his dad gave him nightmares of dropping the engagement ring overboard.

#1 Disney Fan,

Your story about losing each other reminded me of a friend who lost her husband at EPCOT...the only thing is, HE didn't think he was lost! Apparently he was having a good time walking around by himself while my friend and her son spent half a day searching for him!

As for myself, I lost an entire outfit (shorts and tank top) that I only wore ONCE to Sea World! We were staying at the BWLBV before moving onsite, and we did laundry, and somehow that outfit went missing! Never figured it out.

Jason, you sound like my husband. The man has a knack for losing sunglasses. Hence, no more Ray Bans for him.

Sunglasses for me too, and me. I was keeping track of everyone else and no one kept track of me.

In 95, I lost my camera. It had almost a full roll of pictures taken, some from our cruise and some from WDW. I was so bummed, especially since this was our honeymoon. The camera was never found. I think I must have lost it on the Astro Orbiters.

On our last trip, DH lost his beeper at AK. By the time we got back to ASMO, he realized it and called Lost & Found. They had it right there for him.
On the last day of that trip I lost my diamond & gold bracelet somewhere between Splash Mt, exiting MK, and arriving in our Poly room. I hadnt been wearing that bracelet because I was afraid to lose it(it was a replacement for a lost one), but since we had changed resorts that morning, I didnt want to leave it in the car. We called Lost & Found that day and the next morning before we left, but it was nowhere. We filled out a report though. After being home about a week, a package arrived from the Poly...with my bracelet in it!!! I was thrilled!!!

All I ever lost was my library book. It was my last day at CBR, and I was just hanging around and relaxing. I had bought something in the store and then went to get some lunch. When I went outside for a table to eat, I found the book was gone. I covered my sandwich up with napkins and went back to the store. Yes, my book was there, but when I returned to my table a bunch of birds were having lunch with my sandwich :p . Early the next day, as I was packing for the trip home, I couldn't find my book :( Must have left it at the table  Oh well, first thing I did when I got home was head to the library to pay for a book I never finished.

On our first trip to Disneyland, everything went fine until it was time to return home. I realized on the shuttle ride to the airport that my necklace was missing. DH called the Disneyland Hotel as soon as we got to the airport (lovely charges on the credit card), twice, in fact, to no avail. We kept calling for a month afterward, hoping and praying that it would show up, but it never did.
This necklace was given to me the day I was baptized and confirmed (went through RCIA at the age of 20) by my mom, who received the necklace (a crucifix) on her fifth birthday, her first communion day. So it was a huge, huge sentimental value item, and I've never had the nerve to tell my mom it is missing. I guess I reluctantly hope that it is helping someone through a tough time or is giving them inspiration, but the cynic in me says it was pawned. I can remember the last time I saw it too... sitting on the counter in the bathroom (the area DH was supposed to pack).
:( :( :(
