What have you done that you swear no one else has done at Disney!

Hi, Mamu!

They did a recent construction projects, and there are no more curbs around the "Hub" in front of the Castle! So no need to worry! :earboy2:

When I was probably five years old, we went to see the Mickey Birthdya Show when Toon Town was Mickey's Birthdya Land. Well when the show ended Minnie came over and took my hand and we ran down the hallway skipping in front of the whole crowd that was following behind. We got to the area where she was supposed to take pictures and she gave me a hug, and went to work, but I got about 5 minutes of personal time with just me and Minnie, maybe that's why the Disney magic hasn't worn off 20 years later!

WOW! So many great things. Hoping to have some of my own to share after our trip next year :)

We just got back from a 9 day wdw trip and had many magical memories. The best was that we were chosen to be Grand Marshalls in the Boo To You Parade. We were dressed as characters from Hercules. It was an amazing experience. I know that several families get chosen for each party, but it was truly a once in a lifetime experience for us. I hope that some DISer got some photos.

I got "robbed" by Captain Hook and Smee a few years ago. They stole my hair scrunchie and rifled thru my backpack. It was great.

And last year we got mega lost in WDW and ended up "locked" in the AK parking area. 2am and we were trying to find a wal-mart. Let me tell you once you go thru the gates (there was NO where to turn around) and the guard is on break, you are stuck! Luckily they had some awesome guards on duty that came to our rescue 10 min later and even gave us directions to the walmart. Well he tried to, we just didn't follow them to well. :rotfl2:

In 1989, my then 4 yr. old son was chosen to be the little sheriff in Hoop DeeDoo, the red-headed lady chose him cause he had red hair too. Then exactly 10 yrs. later, in 1999, my second son, age 4, was chosen for the same role. Same lady, the red-head, chose him for his red hair. Thought that was pretty cool. Even in the pictures, it is hard to tell them apart.

We talked the guy taking money for parking into not charging us. He said if we could name Donald Duck's 3 nephews we could park for free. Of course that was in the early 90's so parking was a LOT cheaper than it is now!

Last year I was at Epcot on my birthday and was wearing my birthday badge. We stopped by HISTA and the CM asked if I had gotten my birthday phone call. I said no and she took to a phone where Goofy sang happy birthday to me. A little later the CM asked me my name. When we got into the theatre, she announced my birthday and the WHOLE audience sang Happy Birthday to me. It just really made my day. I don't know if that happens very often. No one else has every been sang to in all the other shows I've ever seen.

I remembered another one that I am pretty certain I may have been the only one to do this. I peed on Peter Pan. I'll have to check with my mom to find out exactly how old I was. From what I understand he freaked me out a little bit and well, when you gotta go you gotta go!

Back in Decemberr 2002, Hubby & I were the only ones in Fantasyland & the only ones on Dumbo during the nighttime fireworks. This was on a night that they closed the MK early prior to the MVMCP - everyone else was over in Tomorrowland while we had Fantasyland all to ourselves. Riding Dumbo during the fireworks was great - it's one of our favorite memories! ::MickeyMo

Ok, so I know we were nt the only ones to do this...on our first trip to WDW (1972), we went out behind the hotel (Travelodge, I think) and picked oranges off the trees. BTW, the hotel said it was OK.

About 8 years we were waiting for our table at the Rose and Crown Pub in Epcot, The lady at the piano bar asked my 5 y.o for a musical reuqest and then had my DD sing for the whole restaurant. Luckily my DD is not shy and belted out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to the applause of the restaurant

In the 1990s (not sure which trip), saw Steven Tyler from Aerosmith with his wife, they were walking right beside me, I looked over as we were leaving from the fireworks and there they were (Epcot). My DH looked at me and mouthed "OMG!". Then the next time we saw them there was a year or two later, and we thought WOW, how weird to see them here AGAIN! Then voile they have a ride named after them, guess they are big fans!!

DD was chosen to hold hands with Pocahantas in a parade a few years ago, she was 6.

That's all I can think of right now!

I inadvertently was responsible for getting a character stuck (i wanted to take a picture with him sitting in the booth with me) in one of the booths at the Garden Grille restaurant. After the picture, he started to motion (pantamime i guess is the word) that he got stuck, but I hadn't caught on yet and thought he was communicating something else. Once i realized, I then had to pull him out of the booth....later realizing it would have been quite a scene had i not been able to pull him out and if extra people were needed. Looking back, its quite humorous :)

While waiting for the rest of my family, DH,DD4 and little cousin, at the baby care center while they rode Buzz Lightyear, I got to see the show at the Castle last year, They finally arrived and we were getting ready to head back to our room, my dd4 was just protesting that she hadnt seen any princess yet and was a bit troubled by this, when very magically right behind her they were ushering Cinderella and Belle into the baby care center. Well my mouth dropped but I didnt say a word, whispered to my hubby and he was like not a word too, and as we started leaving the lady who is in charge the center walks up to my DD4 and says to her, Cinderella and Belle are taking a break and would love it if you joined them, I started to cry, yes Dont know if it was the hormones(just had a baby) or what, My DD4 got to spend 15 min with them they talked and hugged and took pictures and played it was the most wonderful moment.....Dont know if this has ever happened to anybody else but it was so magical for us!!!!!SHe still remembers it !!!

Tink125 - that is so sweet!

I'm nearly in tears myself now just reading it [TOM]! (Was just watching 'Wishes' on QuickTime too and I was nearly blubbering over that!)

We rode the Pooh ride with Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore one morning 3 times before anyone else even made it to the ride.

It was great. My son was 3 at the time and couldn't believe Pooh could be sitting right beside him and be displayed on walls, etc at the same time.
