What have you done that you swear no one else has done at Disney!

We hijacked the bus that runs between World Showcases in EPCOT and my then boyfriend gave the audience the speech all about EPCOT .....except he made it all up :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He had people rolling!!! :rotfl:

I didn't have the strength to read all of the previous posts, so I'm not sure how unusual this is. I have marched in the MK parade three times, and I never worked for WDW.

Only read page one so far, but I wouldn't be surprised this has happened to others.....it just felt so cool when it happened to me. I got on a MGM bus at POP and was the only passenger. While chatting with the driver, she asked me what I was going to ride at MGM that day.....told her I wasn't going there, was actually going to walk over the the Boardwalk and meet friends for breakfast....so, she took me there! (She called her dispatcher first to make sure it was OK.) I felt like I was pulling up to the Boardwalk in a SUPER stretch limo ;)

Just remembered while typing this....on the same trip the captain of the WISHES cruise ship, after taking us all back to the GF, 'drove' my sister and I to the Wilderness Lodge! Good trip for transportation pixie dust! ::yes::

Haven't seen this yet, so it doesn't look like anyone has done it... not sure it qualifies: while WDW was being built - I think I was maybe 7, we visited the "Preview Center". It was located in what is now the DTD area. There was a small theatre with a scale model on a table in front of you. You watched a film about Walt's plans for WDW. When the film was done, you exited into ...a gift shop, of course! You had to drive through orange groves and acres of plowed over property. It is a great memory!

In the Mid 80's on my DD and DS first trip to WDW they had green ZINK on their noses. We were walking around World Showcase and no other guests could be seen. Jimney Cricket came out of some gates, he point at their green noses and then his own and laughed. He took their hands and walked from about Morocco to France. There he posed for pics with them. All the while we still hadn't seen any other guests.

WOW this is such a fun thread! :rotfl:
I have a couple... but not as amazing as some of you!
On our first trip to the magic... second day out we rode the Disney bus all the way from Coronado to MK when we realized we didn't have our tickets. "No tickets?" said the bus driver "Do you want to go get them? " All we could say was yes... and asked how long until the bus returned... he said I'm not supposed to go there but if you ask I can mark my bus 'special assignment' and take you back! Then he did just that and waited while my DH ran a mile to our room, and then took us back to MK. Pretty great Cast Member Magic! :cheer2:

The other was riding on the MK boat alone with Pluto! Not even a handler in sight! My DS was 6 at the time and was just in awe... Pluto is his favorite to this day! Later in the trip a cast member at MGM helped me send a stuffed Pluto to DS as a gift from Pluto... she wrote a note and we had it delivered to the hotel the day before we left. Note from Pluto (he still has it) "It was fun to meet you... let me know when you come back so I can say hi to my friend." :earsboy:

It was a magical trip!

Stick my toe in the main fountain at Epcot and ride Pirates of the Carribbean 2 times in a row without having to get off in between rides. :earseek:

August 14, 2003:
I was a CP working in the MK Auto Plaza and the MK Parking Lot. It was my last night in FL, and a few friends and I were sitting around reminiscing and upset about having to leave the happiest place on earth the next morning...

So, we decided to leave our mark and drove out to the parking lots at about 3AM.... More specifically, we drove to the Grumpy parking lot. Now, next time you are in the Grumpy parking lot at the TTC, you will notice one big tree that does not fit in with the rest. It's much larger than the rest and has a white trunk and branches (I should know the name, but I don't).

Anyway, we were there talking about the good 'ole days that were about to end as we headed off back into the "real world" and realized what we needed to do. We all sat there in the parking lot - took a shot of Captain Morgan's out of our Mickey Mouse Shot Gla.... er, um.... Toothpick Holders :rolleyes1 , and threw our parking lot costume shoes into the tree..

I don't know if they're there or not anymore... probably not, that was August of 2003. But it was a fun night none the less... I also drove my car through the Tram Lanes for jsut a minute! I loved driving the trams and wanted to drive in their just one last time even if it wasn't in a tram.

That and a bunch of other inappropriate things for a family board that most college programers can relate to... But what happens in Vista stays in Vista so we won't got there!

Hmm...you mean college kids get together and party...who knew.... :rolleyes1

While waiting for autographs in the tent at MK, I put our DS 3 months down so I could take pictures. Well, Donald thought he was lonely and laid down with him. I even have pictues of Donald laying on the floor talking to DS

Like an earlier poster, we've had a special meeting with Belle from the MGM Beauty & the Beast show, but Beast was with her, not the prince. Even more exciting for my DD (then 4) was meeting Four for a Dollar. She absolutely HAS to see them everytime we visit ~ I even have to schedule the quick trips we take to coincide with their days off! The guys were super nice & stood in the rain for about 10 minutes talking to her & taking pictures with the family. :grouphug: :umbrella:

Also, a few years ago, we were visiting Belle in EPCOT & Belle asked my DD what other princesses she had seen that day. DD told her she was her first because Belle was her favorite, but we were going to see Sleeping Beauty because she was her second favorite. Belle took DD's hand & led her around the bridge to the International Gateway to introduce her to Aurora! We have great pictures of Belle & DD walking hand-in-hand with other guests turning around to look & wonder what's going on!!

Might have more in a few days ~ we leave in 3 days for a trip DD doesn't know about! :rolleyes1

This is an AWESOME thread! I'm stuck here late at work alone (except for the IT night guy), so I've actually read all 20 pages while waiting for stuff to process. :earseek:

I've got an experience that doesn't rank quite as high as making out (and more) in a PotC boat, but I do believe it's a truly unique experience: I freaked out Alex Trebek at Disney-MGM Studios!

It was back in 1992, my junior year at Auburn University, and I had been invited to try out for the Jeopardy! college tournament down at MGM. I barely slept a wink the night before because I was so nervous. As if that wasn't enough, the only solid food I had that entire day was a couple of awful sausage biscuits at the Atlanta airport; the rest of the day I was chugging any high-caffeine soft drink I could get about every half hour or so. And just to top it all off I found myself yawning about 15 min. before the test began (the test began at 3:00 p.m. and I had to be at the airport at 6:00 a.m.), so I duck into the bathroom and break out my travel packet of No-Doz (washed down of course with a high-caffeine soft drink).

Needless to say I was completely WIRED during the test... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Anyway, I pass the test -- and get to meet Trebek himself. However, being in my overstimulated state I'm literally bouncing off the walls and I distinctly remember a rather frightened look on his face as he autographs my day pass and backs hurriedly away. Come to think of it, he kept at least one other person between me and himself the rest of the tryouts.

I'm scared to tell the story and am embarassed as well, but here goes.... Cleansing the soul is a good thing...

I'ts Spring Break, 1980, and my best friend and I are on a great trip at WDW. We are in the 8th grade and my Mom drops us off at the Magic Kingdom every day while she goes and visits relatives. MK is the only park in existence although they are building Epcot at the time.

My friend and I meet this girl in the park and decide to go ride the monorail to the Polynesian. There was a little store there with small bottles of liquor (like on an airplane) for sale. Keep in mind that we are like 13 or 14 years old.... We get this old guy to buy us about 10 bottles of jack daniels and we proceed to get a little TOASTED and head back to the MK.

We go ride Space Mountain. This is back when they had the seat belts on the ride and two people would sit together with a seat belt around both of them. I was sitting in the front car (alone) and my friend and the girl were in the seat behind me.

On the lift hill, I took off the seatbelt, turned around and was talking to them. I didn't realize there were cameras watching us and we came to an abrupt stop at the top of the hill. ALL the lights inside Space Mountain come on. Three employees come running up the hill and proceed to try and figure out what the heck we are doing. Denials of all sorts are flowing out of our mouths.

After all is said and done, they let us ride with the lights on which is a WHOLE different experience.

I definitely have not repeated that little gag, but it was one I was always remember....

Did you go there, or just like Tiger blue better than Wildcat blue? :teeth:

Actually, BOTH! I went to undergrad at UK and grad school at AU!

DD was once escorted by cruella deville from the villian room into the princess room to meet Esmerelda (Mickeys Toontown Fair). Maybe we arent the only ones this has happened to, but it sure made us feel special.

This past May, we were the first people to use the Magical Express to the Pop Century. :goodvibes

I've read all 20 pages and this is a GREAT thread! :teeth:
