At Disney, we all know how great their customer service is and if the request is reasonable Disney will try to fulfill it -- whether big or small.

Anyway, while at WDW what has been something odd that you have asked for while there?

Here's mine.
On our first day we stayed at SSR and walked over to DTD. I wore some shoes that I had always work working (on my feet all the time), but apparently not working for 2 years takes its toll and I had horrible, huge blisters on my feet by the time we made it to DTD. I walked through DTD, suffering. We went back to SSR after eating at DTD (via bus and I sat at the bus stop while the hubster got the car and drove to the bus stop to come get me -- my blisters were that bad I couldn't walk). I sent the hubster up to the gift shop for some band-aids/guaze/moleskin...something....we hadn't hit any parks yet (planned for the next couple of days we were there).

Anyway, he comes back from the gift shop with said supplies however we discover we need scissors to cut the products, so we sit and think, and then he heads to the front desk. He told them the issue and he had nearly every CM at the front desk looking for scissors, they finally located some not at the front desk, but in a drawer in the gift shop. So he borrowed them, brought them back to the room, and we fixed me up. A combo of guaze and moleskin worked (I could WALK!!!) and we returned them when we went out later.

Now we have scissors in our travel bag (since we drive security is not an issue). You never know what you will need.

Our May 2005 trip.

DW was 4mo prego. We had checked in to Carribean Beach Resort. The resort was fantastic, but on day 1, DW figured out that it would be too much walking from room to main pool, room to bus stop, etc...

We called the front desk to ask if we could check out and into a different resort with less walking.

So, less than 4 hrs. into our resort, we changed. The awesome thing was they not only accomodated us, they upgraded us to Wilderness Lodge for no charge. Also, they gave us a $20 bill, cash, to pay for our taxi ride over.

A very nice cashier at Pop sharpened a newly purchased pencil for us so DS could do his school work last Oct. :)

AS a CM I had a guest walk up to me and say "Where can I find one of those wheel chairs so I can cut the lines"

During our first family trip in 2006 SW was hard on our luggage. DH noticed a plastic bar (I think to keep the suitcase off the floor when you laid it down) was broken. He called down and asked if they had any Duct tape....within a short while maint. was at our room with Duct tape and helped him fix the bag!

A power sprayer.

We were returning to POFQ from MK for a mid-afternoon break and in the parking lot I SLAMMED the trunk of my car down on my pinky finger and it popped open like a grape, I bled like a tap (sorry, gross) all over the parking lot, the outside of my car, myself.

I thought I was going into shock, which I've never experienced before, so I plunked down on a chair in the lobby and the POFQ desk manager called an ambulance she thought I was going to pass out (I didn't). Once I was able to get a few words out I told her the parking lot was a mess and please have someone with a power sprayer clean it.

Ow Ow Ow Ow. Glad you're ok.

Breakfast sausage.

I took my 9 year old niece to Disney last month and her 7 year old sister was sad that she wasn't going. I asked her what she wanted me to bring her back and she requested breakfast sausage from Whispering Canyon Cafe. LOL I did talk to someone about it, saying that she had requested it and it was the only thing this sad 7 year old girl wanted, but the CM I spoke to didn't help me out, just said that she didn't think I'd be able to take breakfast sausage on the plane ride home. So that was where my quest began and ended. I just booked a surprise Christmas trip for her and I for November... she can eat as much breakfast sausage as she wants while we're there. LOL

Hey, we had ADR at Crystal Palace to get to later that afternoon :rotfl2:! No busted open finger was going to stop me!! The EMT bandaged me up really well and a bunch of Aleve later I was good to go!

And someone did clean the parking lot and hosed off my car too. :thumbsup2

Wasn't that great customer service...any stitches?

DH broke his foot last year on our trip. We had several people (CMs included!) make comments that, "at least you don't have to wait in line now." I didn't bother correcting them about the fact that that is not how the card works. Actually, it was so much effort pushing the wheelchair & DH was in pain, so we spent most of the time in our room.

No stitches (although the EMT said I probably should go get them)...I was so strong-willed that I was going to take the kids to Crystal Palace.

But the best part of the customer service...was that the desk manager took the kids into the store (with my DH) and grabbed two stuffed animals for them to keep (and a ton of plastic beads and coins) to distract them while Mama was writhing around in pain. THAT was incredible, and I did send a glowing letter to customer service about how they handled that unexpected "blip" in our trip.
