Will the meal credits be split on the two sets of room keys? I plan to book two connecting rooms for me, DH, 4 kids next year - wondering how the meal credits are set up...

Just got back and had a 2 room ressie with the DDP. We traveled with our friends who also had a 2 room ressie with DDP. In fact, we made our ressies with the same CM at CRO and then checked in with the same CM at POP. Reason I mention all of this is that my family had our DDP credits split per room 1A and 2C on each and theirs was all grouped together as 2A and 4C. The CM at ck in said she couldnt change it, that is the way the CRO CM set it up. The CRO CM assured me that they would all be together as my friends were. So you really won't know until you check in. And yes I had only one reservation number, one deposit for the package, and guarenteed connecting rooms. It was a little more of a hassle to keep track of, but not too bad. Just be prepared for either and have a great trip!

That's the first I've heard of Dining Plan credits being split up between two rooms with just one reservation number.

Ours was grouped together 2A and 2C. Have a magical trip. :wizard:

2005 the maximum number of guests that could be put on one card (at least in PO) was 4. I think they can now pool at least 6 guests. Many of us think computer issues is at least one reason why Disney hasn't seperated adult and child credits.

I suspect computer issues is the reason why Disney keeps your rate at time of check in if your rate changes during your stay.

Ah! That makes a lot of sense.

I was quite upset at first when they split our DP credits between the rooms, but it turned out fine. We just handed them both cards at TS meals and when at CS my husband ordered for himself and 2 kids and I did mine and the other 2kids. It actually made it quicker than trying to order all 6 meals at once. We just had to really watch the snack credits balance on the cards because we would order odd numbers on one card all the time.

Like I said though, my friends 2 rooms were all pooled together. I talked to 3 different CMs at Pop to see if they could pool mine like hers and they all said they could not since it was how it was entered at CRO. They did think it was unusual since all my paperwork showed one reservation confirmation number and the guests listed as 1-6 NOT 1-3 and 1-3.

We had 2 rooms in Dec with one reservation #, all the credits were pooled on both rooms.

This year, in Sept., we had the same 2 rooms with 2 reservation #'s and the dining credits separated. Same people...5 children and 2 adults.

I called the other day to find out about next Sept and funny enough the CM entered it under one reservation #. :confused3 So, again I really think it has to do with the booking CM.
