We have a PS at Tonys at around 6 pm on the 4th of july but since the park is opening at 8 am we dont know after being up the previous night the whole time if we can make it from 8 am to 12 am when magic kingdom closes. However they have noted our cc for the PS so I am wondering if we decide we are too tired if it would be ok to go over to the restaurant and tell them- would our cc still be charged or would they let it go since we told them? I'd appreciate your advice THANKS

Since it's a holiday and they took your credit card, you have to call within 48 hours to cancel or they'll charge you $10/adult and $5/children. DBf and I always make sure that we make it to those PSs come heck or high water. :D

Yep, you will be charged if you don't go.

Cancel now if you don't think you can make it, so someone who can make it can have your space.

The reason being is we dont know if we will be miserably exhausted by then. So do you think if we cancel now we will able to be a walk up at either tonys, or LTT? Any help is appreciated

not a chance of a walk up. Could you go back to your room for a nap in the afternoon and be back in time for dinner, rested and ready to go another night? You were very smart to make those reservations and there are plenty of people who will take them off your hands....... Cancel and it will be pizza for you

I have reservations at LTT but I didn't have to give a credit card to them. I was wondering if you are staying at a WDW resort and you have a PS, will they let you back in to the park for a PS if you leave in the middle of the day????

Pam

Not if the park reaches capacity. We were faced with this last year. Our itinerary planner warned us that even if we had a PS if we left the park and it had reached capacity we would not be let back in. The only way we could be sure we would be in the MK for the fireworks was to stay in the park. We decided to not go to the park until around 11:00 and hopefully it wouldn't have closed by then. Sure enough around mid-afternoon the park closed. We had a PS at Tony's and stayed for the rest of the day. It's my understanding that they have 4 different stages of closure. If the park reaches the 4th stage then that keeps even resort guests from re-entering. MK reached stage 4 last year.

We are planning to be at Epcot for July 4th - so glad I made my PSs for lunch and dinner!!! They didn't ask for a credit card for my PSs.

Good luck and have a great trip!!!

yes i booked through dreams adnd they said a cc needed to be noted. I would love to go back and take a nap but thats the problem the park might just close!! Guess we will be in MK all day:rolleyes:

In almost every situation, I'm an advocate of arriving at park opening, especially during the summer and most especially on holidays. However, this may be an exception to that rule. It looks like you may be better off sleeping in just a little bit and arriving later in the morning (around 10 or 11 at the latest). You'll be arriving to heavy crowds and miss the early morning time in the park, but it greatly increases your chances of making it through the evening without being exhausted and miserable. Weighing your options, with a PS you can't really afford to cancel and a danger of not getting back in if you leave for a break, I think arriving later may be your best choice.

Kaycee- Thanks for your advice but the only problem is that we have a early ps at cindys castle that morning so we have no choice but to get to mk early!! THANKS

I just made a PS for the 4th of July and asked specifically if I needed to give a CC # since it was a holiday and I was told by 2 different reps that it was not considered a holiday for this purpose, and a CC was not necessary. They said the only place that needed a CC for the 4th was California Grill b/c they're having a special event.

Do you mean they charge you if you can't make your PS??? Or is this just for holidays?

Actually, thinking about it, we made a PS at Whispering Canyon for July 4 and didn't have to put down a credit card. We've had to for other holidays, though.

Oh, and DonaldsGrl103, I would recommend using the relaxation points around the MK, including the TTA, the train, and upper levels of a couple counter service restaurants. Pinnochio's and the Columbia House both have relatively quiet upstairs.

Huge crowds at the MK make us CRANKY (and we're 22 and 23!), and we try to use these locations to unwind, relax, and recharge.

Forever 42 your such a sweetheart- thanks so much for your help!! Yes guys I emailed my Dreamsunlimited agent asking about the cc and I am waiting for a response. However I remember them saying if I dont make it they will charge my cc for 10 dollars twice since their is two adults. I need to give 48 hrs notice:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Given everyone else's responses regarding their PS's on the holiday, it sounds like they needed your CC for your PS at CRT in the morning and not for the Tony's PS. Let us know what they say!

What is the latest we can arrive? We are on The Carnival Fantasy arriving in Port Canaveral on July 4. In the past we have been off the ship by 9. We then have to check into Pop Century and get out Ultimte Passes and pick up my electric scooter. We were then planning to go straight to the MK. Hoping to arrive by noon. We have planned for a year to spend the 4th at the MK and I would hate to disappoint my boys.

Noon may be too late. I've never been on July 4, but I tried to do a search on it and couldn't come up with anything. If you weren't doing the cruise, I'd say to be there within a short time of opening, but you don't have that option.

Good luck, though. I hear Epcot is a great place for the 4th as the crowds are really spread out.

We will be dining at Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot and had to give a credit card guarentee.

We plan on being in Epcot no later than 12 noon. We might actually go hit some rides at MGM early, I heard it is empty on the 4th. Then take the boat over to International Gateway.
