We moved across the country 3 weeks ago, but my "stuff" is still in NJ for a few more weeks. So, how did I save money? We are "camping" in our new apartment. We bought air beds for everyone for less than $100. My only furniture is a $25 card table from Target. My chairs are folding chairs that fit in my car trunk when I had it shipped. We did buy a TV to replace a HUGE tube tv that we decided not to move. But, the TV stand is a box. My son's "nightstand" is a box.
While I wouldn't want to live like this forever, AND I don't think I'll be entertaining in our apartment like this

....it is kind of nice. No furniture to dust, no real cleaning to do at all.
So, the total cost of waiting for our furniture and other things...Less than $150. Better than renting a furnished apartment or staying in a hotel for a month!
