I thought I read somewhere I can bring in bottled water. Can I instead bring in a water bottle, like a gatorade bottle that is re-fillable?

What about snacks like apples and banana's?

What about baby food?

i dont know if they let you bring in colored liquid anymore because of 9/11

but i have had no problem bringing in food.

Official policy is "no outside food or drink." But unofficially, you can bring in anything that is already prepared (i.e. sandwiches, but not bread, mayo, ham and cheese separately), as long as there's no alcohol, no glass, and you don't try to bring in a hard-sided cooler or a cooler on wheels.

We've brought in soft drinks, water, energy and granola bars, fruit, cheese and crackers, etc. Some people pack a small soft-side cooler with their sandwiches or whatever and put it in a locker for later.

The security people don't even blink an eye when they see that stuff in your bags.

I'll ditto what Gail said ... we bring it tons of food and all anyone's ever said is "have a fun time!"

On hot days, we bring in Gatorade and water. We've even had a small 1.5 quart thermos with us. We've also brought in Uncrustables and fruit and other snacks. No one has ever looked at us crosswise.

We bring the little Diet Coke plastic bottles. They fit perfect in our bag and I just ask for a cup of ice and fill my cup with my Diet Coke. I freeze juice boxes for the kids.

We take in small drink bottles, fruit and museli bars.

At the bag check they often discourage GLASS. But any outside food or drink is permitted. Officially they don't mind, as long as you eat at the picnic area. And they say that on the tram ride in. Unofficially you can eat wherever and whenever you want as long as you "keep the park clean":thumbsup2

While planning our first trip a DL rep said bring your own water bottle and anywhere there is a pop/drink fountain you can fill your bottle with ice and water for free.

We have always done this as it cuts down on the weight you carry into and around the park.

WE take water and other small snacks regularly. They don't mind. They probably know you will end up buying more anyway. lol

Just a quick note, don't take the baby food in glass jars, they do not allow glass and you will have to toss it before getting in.

same here, we've never had a problem bringing in food. we've brought prepared sandwiches, fruit, granola bars, water bottles, juice bags, chips, etc. we'll be doing it again at the end of this month (bringing in lunch because we'll only be buying dinners at the parks). we have eaten at the "picnic" area before, but usually we eat while we are walking, lol! no time to waste on the way to the next ride! sometimes we stop at a bench or something if we are eating a sandwich, but usually, we multi-task!

one time, we took out our sandwiches and ate at a table at the village haus restaurant. they looked so good, we actually had people walking up to us asking, "that looks good...where did you buy that?"

as long as you clean your table up when you're done, and make sure all your trash makes it into the can, they're not going to say anything to you. (granted, this was at very slow times of the year when the restaurants were almost empty - not sure if they'd mind you taking up a table during busy times. then again, they probably wouldn't notice during busy times...).

Beverage tip: Bring a water bottle and lots of the little crystal light 1 bottle-sized packets. Refill water, add new packet, drink, repeat and you are set for the day. :goodvibes
