What DON'T you like about Disney?

I don't like that Disney World doesn't (to my knowledge) have an 800 number.

The 800 is not promoted. If everyone used the toll free line Disney would have a huge phone bill that of course would be passed along to all of us.

The only thing I don't like about Disney is that it's so far away.

I use my cell phone "free long distance calls" to call Disney.

And there is nothing i don't like from Disney, well only that i cannot go there everyday!!

As much as I love WDW, there are a few things I really don't like.

I don't like what they did to Main Street USA. It use to have many different types of stores. Now it's nothing but a spread out Disney store.

I don't like it when they change a few things here and there in a ride and call it new. Sorry but AE/Stitch is the same thing with a few modifications. It doesn't make it a new ride.

I wish they'd start a new park with nothing but scary, up chuck rides and leave the classic ones alone.

I HATE it that Horizons is gone and there's an attraction there I will NEVER go on.

Disney does not promote it self to African Americans and as a result there are few of us there. I went to Epcot in Florida and went an hour before I saw the first African American couple. Most Blacks feel uncomfortable at Disney Theme Parks.

I also think there are to many gift shops and the food and drink is expensive and of poor quality.

I don't like how they trat some of their cast members. Management is paid very well, but most others are making only slightly above minimum wage. They work long hard hours and increases are tiny. Knowing how hard these folks work to make our vacations magical....I feel they deserve a lot more than they are getting.

I'm also always surprised that there are so few African Americans in the parks, but on the Disney cruises there are even less. I always wondered about that
I did three cruises with groups from the DIS with a total of about 300 people: Just four of them were African Americans, one Hispanic, zero Asians.

Not really Disney but...people that go to Disney and just can't seem to have a good time and insist on streading the wealth. They are always unhappy and nothing seems to go right. I think they are just trying too hard. You got to relax and roll with the flow.

I also thought the same thing, but I didn't know how to word it without seeming to "wordy" LOL. I totally agree, the CM's are what create the magic and put on the show. Since we spend a lot of time waiting for the characters and just relaxing throughout the parks, we talk to a lot of CM's and just always thank them for such a wonderful job they do.

My thoughts too are how they (under)staff many areas.
I think they would love if everyone was Part Time. They seem more concerned with hiring multiple PT than FT, just to get around paying benefits. Their concern for CMs seems to be the least they can do and still keep up appearances.
Problem seems to be though they can't get enough PT or head count, and it becomes obvious for anyone around the parks, etc.
But, maybe Universal and Sea World are the same, we just aren't aware of that.

Well I just returned from the trip from Hell (we were all sick, not Disney's fault), so it gave me lots of things to hate. The biggest thing this trip was having so few TV channels to choose from (not normally a problem since we don't usually watch TV). It was a tossup between a few talk shows and that horrid Stacy person who advertises the parks....why oh why does she have to be so hyper???? OMG, two days of her and everyone knew they'd better keep clicking when she came on.

Also -- not sure if this is because we were sick -- but Disney (Florida?) water has a certain smell to it that just made me even sicker than I already was. I noticed it at the Swan, but it was even stronger when we switched to the All Stars. I think I've noticed it on previous trips but this trip it was the strongest.

All in all, even though we had such a lousy trip, we do love the place. It might be awhile before we return though. Famous last words, eh?
