What does your tween daughter (ages 10-12) want for Christmas?

I can't believe all the tweens that have/want cell phones and ipod touches! DH and I don't even have anything that fancy. My 10 year old DD doesn't have a cell phone, laptop, DS or Wii and we're not planning on getting them for Christmas either. She does have an ipod shuffle that she won at school though.

She did have a Nintendo DS on her list, but she said she's not sure she really wants it and I really don't think she'll play it, so don't think we'll get that.

I'm not really sure what we're getting her this year. Some American Girl books, Liv doll, games, clothes, gift cards maybe??? I'm not sure! She does want a small TV for her room that we're thinking of possibly getting. I'm having a tough time this year she doesn't really play with too many toys anymore.

Thats all I know about for sure, we also bought a few card/board games, will be looking for some stocking stuffers and I am redoing her room during X Mas break as a gift too.

I always enjoy these type of threads each year but have not seen any yet posted about our tweens! I like to get ideas from everyone's list and maybe others do too.

My dd is now 10 and this is what she has on her list:
cellphone She's due for an upgrade and wants the Samsung Exclaim. She currently has one of my older phones.
Barbie digital nail printer At $150, this is way too expensive. She loves doing nails so I'm planning to buy some polishes, nail art decals, etc and get her a nice case for all of it(cvs, target, etc)
wii My mom decide she will put half as her gift. I wasn't planning to buy this! Looking for deals!
ipod touch
AG wheelchair if I find a good ebay deal
Harumika bridal collection

Polly pocket items usually fall apart so I'm not buying that. The ipod touch is what I want for Christmas. I think she noticed I was looking at it and wrote it down lol. I just bought her a pink refurb nano last Christmas. If any family members ask I can tell them the other items on her list. Plus she loves Aeropostale and Claires, so gift cards will be squealed over.

What about your daughters? What are you actually getting them?

The only diifference is my DD emails me her wish list, she saved for a mini laptop and was able to buy one two months ago. Since we only allow her to email us we get all kinds of wish list.

My DD is 10. She doesn't want a laptop or cell phone - well a cell phone kind of interests her, but she doesn't talk much on the regular phone and I can see it getting old. I am interested in her having a cell phone now that she's doing more activities independently, but not this year. She won't have a laptop for a long, long time. Computer activity in our house is done in one room where we can all see it! Really though, at 10 she is young for her age, and is more about toys than electronics. Of course, we have two iPod touches in the house and she uses ours for car rides and electronics days at school. She may not feel the need for one of her own.

That being said, what she does want is:

As you can tell, my mom and in-laws beat me to most of the stuff. Someone here mentioned the Harumika design sets, and I may get her one of those. She seemed intrigued when I showed her.

I'm starting to feel like an alien but heres the deal in our home: They already have their own desktops in an area we can moniter usage and will not recieve laptops until college because saftey blocks do FAIL- happened to DD11 this summer! They own very nice MP3 players, not ipods and will receive cell phones in HS. They can borrow our prepaid kid cell phone as needed for sleepovers and trips until then. We also do not allow television in bedrooms- so we're just outright freaks. Now I'm done hijacking the thread. LOL!

DD absolutely loves this store! Free shipping over $100. I'm not sure she can fit into the jeans yet. She's slim and is about 4' 11". She wears a 12 slim but I see they will be short on her soon. DD10 is slim and 5' tall. Her 12 slims are getting too short on her. She can wear a 00S (short) from American Eagle if she wears a belt so I would guess the Aero ones would fit also. I am going to order a couple for her. I really think she will make out better with a 14 slim from Justice though.

My girls (12 1/2 - two of triplets) are each getting an IPOD touch from their grandparents as a big combined birthday and holiday present. I thought they should only get the IPOD nano but after reading this thread I realize that at their age they might as well have the Touch and be done with it!

My question is - what accessories can we get them and where? I was thinking speakers or clock, in addition to case. But which ones, what else?

She wants AG Rebecca, and a horse for all her AG girls. I'm getting her the Madame Alexander horse @ Wal-Mart. Other than that, clothes, and DS games, oh and anything to make soap/bath and body stuff.
She has a cell phone (grandparents added her to their plan w/out consulting usbut it's their dime and she rarely uses it unless she's calling me or dad) She has daddy's hand me down ipod shuffle...she's an only child/grandchild so I'm sure she'll get plenty.

My DD has also asked for all of these things at some point. She has a cellphone but wants to upgrade to a touchscreen - maybe next year. The laptop - maybe when she goes to college. The dog - never. The brother or sister - uh, no!
