What does your tween daughter (ages 10-12) want for Christmas?

I have a DD9 (well 9 in 1 week!) and a DD10. They both are getting the ipod touch with was number 1 on their lists. They also wanted clothing from Justice and giftcards (to Borders, Target). Neither asked for toys! Made me a little sad... DS7 asked for lots of toys - but I miss buying girlie toys.

My 12yo turns 13 on Christmas. And as far as I know, she wants manga, manga, and more manga.

What in the heck is manga???? I have three daughters and have never even heard of that before???!!!

She is the only grandchild on 1 side and the only one for 7 years on the other.

My DD is 11 - and she is definitely a "tween"! She wants electronics and toys!

The big ticket item she wanted was an iPod Touch - which seems to be a popular item with the tween-set - if this board is any indication! The marketing for that puppy must have been intense!

Anyway... the iPod Touch has already been bought and given. We are leaving for Florida in two weeks and she really wanted to take it along. So... instead of leaving it in the closet until Christmas morning - she has it and has been downloading aps. If my DD is any indication - those tweens getting one on Christmas morning will be :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

Her list was:

iPod Touch - bought at Target w/ $20 GC offer
Jonas Brothers first CD - (found on eBay)
Jonas Brothers life-size cardboard cutout (allposters.com found a free shipping code and saved $20!)
Littlest Pet Shop Koala promo items from last year (found on eBay)

Other things we have gotten:

iTunes gift cards
GameStop Gift Card (cashed in points from a survey site)
Wii games - Secret Agents, Wii Resort, Press Your Luck (Target B2/G1 sale & used $20 GC from iPod purchase)
Littlest Pet Shop Adoption Center (TRU Big Toy book sale $29)
LPS Pet Packs - but only the "cool ones"
Skeleanimals - (Halloween clearance)
Clue - Agents & Spies ($5 off coupon at Target)
Life - Regular version (TRU Big Toy book sale)
Harry Potter DVD ($10 WM pre-order)
G-Force DVD ($10 WM pre-order)
Holiday Madagascar ($8 WM pre-order)

She wants a "cool" Lego set - we are going to look for one at the Lego Store DTD.

Just need to get some stocking stuffers to be done!

Merry Christmas to you Tween Moms!! :santa:

What in the heck is manga???? I have three daughters and have never even heard of that before???!!!

They are those japanese-style graphic novels/ comic books series. The ones you read from back to front, right to left and the characters have huge eyes. The library had some titles and she is hooked on on the ones with girl main characters. I think the first one she got hooked on is Fruits Basket. Usually the bookstores (like borders) will have a manga section.
She's always been a bookworm (like me) and this is her current reading obsession.

DD11
Saucer Chair she saw at Justice
Lava Lamp
Black Ugg like boots
Outfit for her American Girl Doll
Book called Alphas
Makeup bag for her choir trips

Looking for something (game) that she can play with her teammates in between soccer games at tournaments, but she hasn't warmed up to anything. Still looking for ideas and thanks for this thread.

We have played pictionary junior with my DDs soccer teams at tournaments and the kids crack up!!! No one's drawings are as good as they think and they seem to have lots of fun trying to guess what the drawings are.

My DD11 has on her list:

Cellphone: Not planning on getting yet, need to come to agreement w/ her bio mom about usage, etc. We don't want to buy one/pay for monthly if they will not let her use over there during the week.

Bike -getting it

Mindflex Game -refuse to buy, looks like ripoff to me ;)

Pokeman Cards -probably getting box set to wrap, individual packs for stocking

DS Games

Girly stuff...jewelry from Claires, etc

Bean Bag -getting it if I can find

Both her and her brother (7) are getting Netbooks, hoping I can find a great deal.

I also picked up some of the 5 for $5 stuff at Ulta for her stocking.

And the big thing......Universal passes to WWofHP!!!

JEALOUS!!! I had hoped it would be open in time for our spring break trip...both DD and DH would love it! (And DS is just starting to read the books.) We had a Harry Potter Christmas last year...the scene it game was fun. :goodvibes

My DD10 is also not getting any toys, unless you count AG Rebeca.

She wants:
Rebecca- getting this is her big gift
doll bed- getting
new cell phone- hers no longer works right, we will be getting a cheap one
eye mask-why not!
Slippers- picked up with my 15 free kohls card
Ipod touch- no way, I told her she could have my iphone when I was ready to upgrade, in 2 years
Sims 2 expansion pack- yes
some vinylmations and junk for her stocking and we will be finished!

My 11 year old has a list a mile long but the main thing that she wants is a lap top.

So far the things that I know for sure that she will get are:

Lap top (she will not share with her brother so I am buying two:mad:)
Laptop bed pillow tray
makeup
clothes
itunes card
Jonas brothers dog from Build a Bear
some Very Bradley items, purse laptop case, duffle bag
things for her room
new cell phone cover
new cheerleading workout clothes
She wants a tumble mat, but not sure.
Jonas Brothers items from their website.

I have no idea what else but this is close to being all.

It's kind of sad that she has out grown her AG things. I have boxed them up to save for her little girl one day.

I always enjoy these type of threads each year but have not seen any yet posted about our tweens! I like to get ideas from everyone's list and maybe others do too. :goodvibes

My dd is now 10 and this is what she has on her list:
cellphone She's due for an upgrade and wants the Samsung Exclaim. She currently has one of my older phones.
Barbie digital nail printer At $150, this is way too expensive. She loves doing nails so I'm planning to buy some polishes, nail art decals, etc and get her a nice case for all of it(cvs, target, etc)
wii My mom decide she will put half as her gift. I wasn't planning to buy this! Looking for deals!
ipod touch
AG wheelchair if I find a good ebay deal
Harumika bridal collection
Harumika runway showstopper
Polly Pocket roller coaster resort
Crayola color explosion glow board
Petz nursery (DS game) probably
Style Lab (DS Game)

Polly pocket items usually fall apart so I'm not buying that. The ipod touch is what I want for Christmas. I think she noticed I was looking at it and wrote it down lol. I just bought her a pink refurb nano last Christmas. If any family members ask I can tell them the other items on her list. Plus she loves Aeropostale and Claires, so gift cards will be squealed over. :yay:

What about your daughters? What are you actually getting them?
If you are going to buy nail stuff, consider going to Sally and getting the paints with the fine brushes instead of the decals. It looks so much better. You can do some really cool line designs this way. My daughter is the envy of her friends when I do her nails this way.

My daughter is 10 (will be 11 on Dec. 1st!) and is getting IVY for her Birthday. She is in the Nutcracker this year and they use the AG dolls for many of the dances, so she is getting her very own. :goodvibes

She wants an iPod touch for Xmas. We'll see?

My two only get three gifts for Xmas because Jesus only received three.

We have been doing this for many years and it reminds them the reason for the season!

They each will get a clothing type item. (shoes for DS and pjs for DD)

We'll see what bargains I can find. My budget is always very limited.

My DD is 12 and still loves her AG dolls dearly. She is getting:

AG Kirsten -because she's being discontinued. Her great-grandmother got it for her.
AG Kirsten nightgown - already bought
AG Kirsten outfit - bought
AG Kirsten book set - bought
DS Nancy Drew game - bought
DS Hardy Boys game - bought
DS Imagine Detective - bought
Cell phone - we're still considering this one. adding her to AT&T would cost us $30 more per month, but Kajeet is $14.99

She didn't ask for anything else, but I've got her a few DVDs and am considering buying her a laptop. She uses my old hand-me-down desktop and it recently stopped working.

Thanks for reminding me. :goodvibes A few of out local beauty supply stores sell these as well and she has used up the ones I've had in the house. I also saw that Rite Aid has some nail art pens that she's been eyeing. I'm basically going to get her a little of everything to do her nails and I'm sure it won't cost me anywhere close to the barbie printer lol.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's lists! Girls the same age can have varying interests. Some of my dd's friends no longer are interested in toys while mine still plays with her AG dolls and Bratz. She actually just pulled out her Bratz mansion the other night (meanwhile I was about to give it away since it hasn't been played with in MONTHS lol).

Ipod Touch seems like a very popular item but I just think my dd is still too young for it plus she just got an ipod last Christmas. Knowing her, she'll be using apps on mine once I get it  (gift to myself yay!).

DH got a free ipod touch this sept (with mac purchase -- it was a promo for students) and it was for dd8 & dd12 to share.

They played with it for about 2 weeks and then lost interest. But they have never been big video game players. They like to do online games (like club penguin).

Still, I think we'll try to download more games for the trip so they can do something while on the plane.

dd will be 11 the 1st week of December so she hit the jack pot in December.

here's her list for B-day/x-mas
-giftcards to target,toys r us,and wal-mart
-ds pokemon pearl game
-wii toy story mania
-cell phone( she has firefly and doesnt want it since she will be in middle school next year-lol)
thats on her list and dh and I can get dj hero for $50 so we brought that to her attention. She thought it was fun and band hero

For sure she is getting dj hero and pokemon for her b-day. A few family members said they will get her the giftcards so she can buy what she wants and they dont have to figure out what to get-lol!

x-mas-
-toy story mania
-band hero if she doesnt get it for her b-day
-purse and leather braclet she wanted (hidden up in the closet)
