On average, what what do you pay each month for electricity?

We just moved into this apartment complex, and the people we have talked to say they pay around $20 a month. I know my parents pay around $45. A woman I work with pays $150 ( :headache: who knows what she's doing!)

So out of curiosity, what do you pay?

We have electric heat and water heater. We are budgeted and pay $240 each month. Should add that this is a 1000 sq. ft. house.

My last bill was $612.
For a 5000 sq ft house with 6 adults, 2 kids. We have electric everthing, stove, waterheater. And about 1/3 of the house is heated by electric.

We are all electric. Current bill is $150, it has been as high as $214

I pay about $150 a month. I am in a 1700 square foot condo and insulated on both sides!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine being in a house!!!!!! I would LOVE to see an electric bill under $50!

Mine looks like a luxury car payment.

My bill includes, water, power, sewer, and garbage pick up. It usually runs around a $100 a month. My house is a small 2 bedroom, 1 bath house.

Wow! Such high bills!

I have a ~1300 sq ft townhouse and I pay about $65 per month (everything is electric) and I run the heat at night all winter and the a/c at night all summer because I have a VERY hard time sleeping if the temp isn't perfect and it makes for migraines, etc.

I think we better get out of PA!:scared1: Mine averages $350 @ month.
Elec stove, hot water, dishwasher...also a 24/7 Oxygen machine here.

Mine is exactly the same as almost everyone else's...quite a bit more than I think it ought to be. :teeth:

Average $150-$175, we have gas heat, stove, dryer and hot water heater so our gas bill is abou tthe same as our electric bill.

We live in South Florida in a highrise that gets the sun from the East. Everything is electric and my bill runs about $180-$250 a month. $250 a month in the summer with the AC and $180 in the winter/spring when the A/C is not working as hard. The AC is ALWAYS on though .... 95% of the time.

I agree DU.... our bills are crazy!!!! Of course now that its warmer, our bill will drop to a low $320 a month:rotfl:

OMG, $20 a month is unheard of in our area!!!!!

We have a 2500sf split foyer...actually 2944sf with the sunroom addition. We only need to heat the top 1500sf as we really don't use the downstairs, DH and I both like it 70*am - 68*pm. We're on a budget plan of $200 mo, but the bills avg. $175-$280 depending on how cold. We had a warm spell, then a freeze, now it's warming up to 75* during days. BTW, we have heat pump and are very satisfed. The people in our area with oil are really taking a hit.:guilty:

My last 2 have been $150 for a 1300sq ft. house with total electric. I live here by myself. Before that it was around $100 I guess someone needed a raise :lmao: . I just need to buy a wind mill and make my own electric.

We pay $240 a month on a budget with National Grid. I live in MA., the winters can be very cold and the summer very warm. We have forced hot air by oil and central air. 2400 sq ft.

I just turned the heat off. Hopefully, we can go through May & June with no A/C -- just open windows.

We need to get insulated windows for our house-built in 1969.
$303.00 for 4759 sq ft living-We have levelized billing,so this is the amount of our bill every month.

Lucky for me, I've got Allegheny Power. So glad I don't have BG&E because I know they are more expensive!
