What Does YOUR Electric Bill Look Like?

I have an all electric house and my last bill was around $168, which was down from over $200 the previous month. When it isn't heat weather or AC weather we run just under $100, but otherwise it is over. But we don't have a gas bill like some of my co-workers. (BTW, we are heating/cooling 2100 sq ft).

We have a 2 bedroom condo. During the winter the bill hovers around $100 - $110. It's around $180 during the summer.

We live in a 890 sq ft apt in the winter its about $90 and in summer $150 or more depending on the weather I dont deal well with the humidity so when its bad we run the A/C alot

Wow, I had no idea that electric bills varied so wildly from area to area!

We pay around $150/month most months, but it can get up to around $200/month in the heat of the summer (about 6 months out of the year here in Florida). And my house is small, under 1200 sf.

Ours is around 95.00 a month but a lot higher during the summer whenever we use the A/C.

I just received our bill today for $368.00 for a 4,000 sq foot drafty house.
It is has never been that high, but prices are going up.

Ours runs about 90.00 + during the winter (also National Grid). I have gas heat, gas stove, gas dryer and gas water heater so electric runs the basic electric stuff. In the summer with the AC and pool filter going it goes over 200.00 a month. At any given time we can have lots of stuff running: computers, tv's hair straighteners, I do lots of laundry. I just think our rates are high here in NY State. Even when we had no power for 8 days in October it only made about a 10.00 difference in my bill.

In February our 2800 sq foot house had an electric bill of $1100:scared: I thought I was going to die when I got the bill. Since then it's averaged around $600

We have Puget Sound Energy (we'll keep the power on, unless we can't and then you're out of luck) and our bills are usually around $150 in the winter for gas and electric and they drop down to $45-$50 from May to September/October depending on how long I can hold out on turning up the heat. We have a gas water heater and furnace and everything else is electric.

We have 75 year old 1700 square foot historic Park Service house :rotfl2: Electric this month only $220 propane (just got today) $617 for the month. We used $1100 in propane in Feb.:scared1: We love this old house but as we rent from the government we can't fix it (not allowed) and the National Park Service sure doesn't have the money. Lucky for us we do not have to heat or cool from May-Sept. It did snow today :sad1: hopefully we can turn off the heat soon.

I live in a about 900 square foot condo and my bill is $59 year round. I'm on the equalizer plan.

I budget about 50 a month. 2,000 sq ft home-temp set at 68 in the winter, 72 in the summer.

Bills range from just under 10.00 a month to maybe a hundred in a heat wave. The 10.00 bills are usually October when we are at Disney for 10 days.

KY has the lowest electric prices in the country.

1,750 square foot ranch with new insulation and new windows, central air conditioning and heat pump. I pay $280 per month on the budget plan all year round to the electric company.

Averaged over a year, my electric bill is just under $150/mo for a just under 3000 s/f house near Orlando.

We use a lot of CFB's, have really good insulation, and a radient barrier under our roof. We also have ceiling fans and use them liberally in warmer months in place of the A/C--which we keep set for 78-80, depending on the humidity.

I also get a gas bill for my dryer, water heater, and grill, and that runs about $35 a month year round.

We live in a 2 bedroom apt and our bill runs around 140.00-160.00 per month.

About $120 per month. We have a hot tub, and use the window A/C's a lot during the summer.

We live in a 1200 sq. ft. apartment and our electricity bill runs from $40 (winter) to $80 (summer). Our gas bill is about $60 (winter) and $40 in the summer.

So I guess, total, we run around $100-$120 a month.

Our bill fluctuates. At the lowest it is around $60 (winter) at its highest it is around $140 (summer). We live in a 1,600 sq. ft. home.

We have a 2200 sq. ft. home, and our most recent bill was about $80, but during the winter they were around 150 - 175. Our rates are going up in June, I think, so that could very well change.

Oh, and we are all electric (no gas available in my neighborhood).

I pay about $26/month. We live in a 2br apt and I rarely turn lights on. I prefer to live like a vampire. :cool2: In the summer it only goes up a few bucks. I don't use the a/c much.
