Our dog isn't smart enough to know us by any name at all . Took him forever to learn his own name, let alone figure out what we're calledneedless to say he has a very limited vocabulary.
But he's happy happy and very predictable, which is probably most important. Bet no one's surprised to hear that he's a lab

She takes the paper to the commode with her and does the crossword puzzle

Well, my dog is really a bird. He calls me Mom and my husband by his first name. He calls our younger two daughters by their names as well.
The first time he called me "Mom," we were in our old house and he said it just like my three year old. I said "what?" from my bedroom. He said it again. I said "what?" By the third time, I got mad and came out of my room yelling at my daughter for not coming to see me instead of screaming from the other room. He started laughing at me.
That's when I realized that 1) my bird calls me Mom (not Paige, not honey, not anything else), and 2) I could be summoned to a room by my pet.![]()
. Actually I don't have a bird, but 2 of my babies are bunnies and they shake their rattle at me when they want something.

Dh laughs when I call her by name, but she actually comes!
I have a beagle, which obviously means that my dog is on the spectrum.

). Even tho the vet dismissed this, I think the behaviorist was on to something..... I know it sounds funny but he really does have trouble processing things. That said, at almost 8 he's a lot better and has turned into a nice pet. We neutered him at a young age, labs don't need any more "help" like this in the gene pool

They also know each other's names and the cat's name. The cat is also known as "the cat."
I am "Food Source." The wife is "The Bed Warmer"
