I don't understand that. Some people just do it naturally. I blink a lot by nature. Is that link suggesting that I am constantly lying?

I don't even understand this thread. This was a political thread? Seriously, there are people who blink a lot naturally. I just happen to be one of them. It comes from not making as much fluid to keep your eye hydrated.

I didn't realize that it meant that I was nervous and lying all the time. Hrm.

I'm an SLP. I understand stuttering. Sometimes dysfluencies occur when we are nervous.

..... I keep the little tubes of artificial tears with me at all times. My eyes are very dry and irritated because of allergies. I usually have to use allergy drops in the AM too. According to the Obama supporters I could avoid all the discomfort expense and hassle by not lying....LOL

I am still confused that it is a political thread. I honestly thought that someone was curious as to why someone would blink a lot. I didn't expect to be interrupting a thread about that evil McCain with a real answer to the question. Yikes.

Tell me about it, I am blinded even on cloudy days, without my sunglasses.

I agree. There are many other reasons why people blink

I suffer from dry eye syndrome, and blink a lot as well, as does my son.

I am another who had no idea this was political in nature.

For the record, John Edwards used to blink too much too. He used to raise his eyebrows in disingenuous sincerity, then over-blink the whole time he was saying something. . .Now we know he was a liar and a cheat.
