Is it ok to wear the same clothes you wore to the park that day or is it more appropriate to dress up a bit?

Ive done both and both are very different. HDDR 100% is park attire but cirque is slightly different. I was younger when I went to cirque and the show was fairly new but I wore jeans and felt out of place. There were other people wearing jeans but majority were wearing khakis and some people were full on dressed up for a Broadway play. I wear what I want unless theres a dress code because when it comes down to it you all paid the same amount of money to be there so who cares what someone else is wearing.

Never been to HDDR, but based on the atmosphere I'd say park clothes are ok.

I voted for dress up mainly for Cirque. We dressed up (I wore black pants, heels, and a dressy top, DH wore a suit and tie) and we fit right in. I think if we were dressed in park clothes we would have felt severely under dressed. It also depends on the show time. I would think maybe an afternoon showing would be less dressy? It's all up to your preferences. We are people that would rather be over dressed than under dressed. Have fun! Cirque is AMAZING!!!!

Though I voted for park clothes I do agree with you that you would fit in more dressing up for cirque....I most definitely wouldn't dress up on my vacation; what others wear doesn't bother me much!

Been to both and are totally different. I would wear park clothes to HDDR as it is just like any show at WDW. For Cirque I would dress nicer. Most there were in nice clothes ranging from polo shirts and dress shorts to summer dresses and dressy sandals.

We've been to both. HDDR is definitely park clothes, I would have felt totally silly if we had dressed up at all. Cirque is a bit nicer, but nothing fancy schmancy.
