You know, I NEVER leave any appliances on and even many of them unplugged when I leav my house. Igrew up in a family of firemen and remember vividly being woken up by my dad one night when he came in my room and unplugged my blowdryer--telling me of the hazards.

WOW! I really am on vacation but my brain should not be!! I won't be doing that again-- Thanks for that reminder.
Which brings me back to my question-should I leave the dishes dirty in the dishwasher, or should I make sure everything is put away before I leave?

We had all of our dishes washed, dryed, and put away before we left the room. I can't speak for other people, but that's what we do. We also took the trash out of room as well.
