Well right now the bidding is at 99cents, and they're going to be hard pressed to come up with a souvenir that's that cheap. Unless they just send the auction winner something like a bottle of shampoo from the hotel.

I hate to see people begging for things that aren't necessities. If you want to go, great, but at least offer people something real in return.

But the way you have the auction setup you are not going to get alot if anything cause only one person can give in the end. If you set it up that you can have multiple people donating on the one auction it would end up better for you.

I love how people assume things here and take it out of context. It is not my action I found it looking for something on ebay. To me it didn't it make sense financially. First who thinks people are just going to hand you money. I do not think anyone is going to bid more than .99. After fees and only shipping anything you are losing money.

With listing fees, end of auction fees and paypal fees, that 99 cent bid they have isn't going to get them far. Nothing like trying to get other people to fund your vacation.

I think they should get a job. I donate to many charities, support those without, help the community, etc. but it always bothers me when others want you to just give them money. Entitlement drives me nuts!

I also apologize for thinking it was your auction. The wording in your OP makes it sound as if it is. Just looking at your location and the autioneer's location shows that you are not the same people.

However, that doesn't change my opinion that it is incredibly tacky. And I wonder which one of my Philadephia-area neighbors was the moonbat that listed that auction.

Hey, I say if they can get someone to donate, more power to 'em. Wasn't there recently a young college kid who asked all multimillionaires for "just one million dollars" through YouTube? I think he got it.

But yeah, at least aim a little higher than 99 cents.
