I like Stitch and I like the Stitch merchandise. I like that my husband likes Stitch. I don't like the Stitch ride (I don't hate it or anything, I just don't ride it) and I wish Disney would change the wakeup call because Stitch is a little unnerving first thing in the morning

Don't like him. Avoid Ohanas, don't use wake-up calls, don't do the attraction at the MK.

There wasn't an "I love him" option, so I chose "I like him".

He is one of our favorites. I like having a character that my boys can relate to. I'm so glad he isn't pink! :lmao:

Stitch is sort of an adoption story. My family adores Stitch especially my adopted sons.
As an adopted child myself -- with an adopted child of my own -- I completely understand. This is part of why the movie speaks to me on such a deep level (and also why Disney's Tarzan is another of my favorite movies). In both movies, Stitch and Tarzan's search for identity is what really drives the story and makes the characters work. Seeing Lilo & Stitch never fails to make me choke up, no matter how many times I've seen it (more than a dozen, I'm sure).
I think too many people think of Stitch as the rude alien in the beginnning of the movie and forget his "true" character.
I think that part of the problem here is that his presence in the parks plays into that impression -- it is the way he is portrayed in the attraction. Why couldn't they develop an attraction that used the "reformed" (just enough) version of the character we see at the end of the film and in the series? And why can't they incorporate Lilo as well? To me, she's the heart of the movie and just as important as Stitch to the success of the story.

I love stitch because it is my daughter's fav movie. I know no matter how old she is I will always remember her putting on her little hula skirt as a 3 yr old and dancing around to the opening credits. And she had the whole movie memorized. Stitch will always hold a special place in my heart.

He;s my absolute favorite. I sleep with the stuffed animal stitch every night. I got him two years ago in Disney && last week when i went. I bought the exact same one, because he was in a lot better shape. :wizard:

hes the BEST

I agree...where was the I adore and LOVE Stitch category :yay:
It is the original movie that made me fall in love with him and the TV series was also great as we then got Exp 625 as a proper character who is SOOOO funny. He LOVES his Sandwiches...hehe
The TV series ALSO featured redemption and finding the true place a person belongs

I think he is misused in the parks and the Stitch invasion of the Tiki room I think is the WORST thing I have ever seen. You think the supersonic show was bad...you ain't seen nothin yet.
Stitch Live was funny I must say but not a repeatable experience because it isn't as good as Turtle Talk.

I wish they hadn't replaced AE because although I do actually enjoy the Stitch version, they needed to make a PROPER dedicated attraction for him that had proper thought behind it....and AE was AMAZING.

Anyway...as for him not being Pink...hehe...this is what Angel is for.
I have an Angel Plush and a Stitch plush :) plus my Tokyo Disneyland Big head Stitch in Elvis costume plush.

In Tokyo they are indeed obsessed with him and they have essentially married Angel and Stitch....they have valentines things with them on it.
But beyond that...they HAVE full characters of quite a few of the Experiments...as shown below from the Tokyo Stage Show

i absolutely 100% LOVE STITCH. there needs to be more, better marketed stitch items/attractions.

i know that a lot of younger boys like him too.

So the pink Stitch like experiment it named Angel? If that is what her name is then I so have to correct my niece, she has been calling her Rosie. I know the Red one is named Leroy.

I have only seen the first Lilo and Stitch movie.

I'm on the "Love Stitch" bandwagon: He's a burping, spitting, booger monster. I'm used to that. I teach 2nd grade :thumbsup2

Thats what is says on her tag :)
She is sooo gorgeous....
And while I was in Paris I saw a plush of "Dupe" who is yellow with like a brown and yellow striped "tail" but I was broke by then and didn't get him :(
(he is in the middle of the stage front row in the picture)

We love Stitch in our house. He's cute and fluffy. I have 2 great stories about Stitch and my ds from the Disney cruises.

We went on our first Disney cruise when ds was 16 months old. At the character greeting the first night we got in line to get Lilo and Stitch's autograph and ds loved Stitch's nose. After we saw all the other characters we went back to Stitch and nobody was waiting in line to see him. I asked the CM with Lilo and Stitch if I could put my ds on the floor. She said yes and Stitch got right down on the floor and played with my ds. It was really cute.

We then went on another Disney cruise last summer and my ds was almost 3. We were waiting to get back on the ship from CC and Lilo and Stitch were right there on the dock. We got in line to see them. As soon as my 2 kids got up to them it started pouring all that could come out of heaven. Now since Stitch doesn't like to get wet, he scooped up my ds and ran back up the gangplank onto the ship, carrying my ds. But there was a huge line of people also wanting to get out of the rain so my bil picked up Stitch and my ds and brought them both safely back onto the ship and out of the rain. But my dh and I were in the back of the line so Lilo and Stitch (and their CM) stayed with my ds until we made it back on the ship.

So we have a special place in our family for Stitch. He may be "broken but still good".

I like him but considering how much he is in the parks I just wish they would produce some scrapbook stuff with him on it

Keeping that in mind it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see some of the older characters around a little more

I put indifferent.

Mainly because if no one liked stitch they wouldn't put him in the parks so much, kwim? I personally think he's one of THE most annoying disney characters out there. I didn't care for the movie. But in the parks his character is kinda cute and he can't make any noise so he's not so dang annoying. So i don't mind getting a picture with him. The stitch ride is awful at disney though. They need to change it back to AE or revamp it as something else.

I like Stitch, but if there had been five options, I would have picked the one between "I like Stitch" and "I'm indifferent." I liked the movie quite a bit, but I think Disney has been pushing Stitch much too hard and if they continue, they may end up burning the public out on him rather than making him the permanent major star they want him to be.

I would suggest that Disney scale back their focus on Stitch for a while so people don't end up tired of him. I feel much the same about Pooh. Though Pooh and his friends are a better established group of characters, I feel like Disney has overmarketed them to the point where they feel less special and are starting to have less of an identity. I think "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" was a big misstep. I know there is a new theatrical movie in the works, and if Disney wants that to seem like a big deal and not just another Pooh thing, I think they should dial back the Pooh merchandising until the movie comes out. Not eliminate it altogether; just do less than they've been doing.

I like Stitch the character. I liked the movies and his TV show too. My 5 year old son has loved him for a while. However, I don't like the attraction and I wish they would bring back the original Alien Encounter.

I don't really care for stitch. I think I would be indifferent, except that I think he is overused in the MK right now and therefore has gotten on my nerves. A ride and some meet-n-greets is fine, but I heard from him during my trip more than I did from Mickey himself, and that is not right! I didn't like that he was in my wake-up calls, the monorail ride "welcome to stitch kingdom", and generally mechandise everywhere.

Add to this that my FIL has fallen in love with him and buys all of the stitch dolls and stuff, and I have grown to dislike him. I miss the classic disney characters of Mickey and Figment!

Its really too bad they couldn't have created one nice attraction for this character.
And Stitch has two!!! Thats incredible...
Better... much better... WALL-E:happytv:

I am mostly indifferent (my vote) but I am tired of the Stitch overload in the parks. It wasn't a great movie. Not even close to the top five Disney classics and yet we see almost as much (or more!) Stitch than we do of Mickey and other major characters! Drives me nuts. He's a bit annoying in large doses. Everything in moderation, especially Stitch.
