I actually like meeting Stitch, he's very cute in person. I think he's annoying in the movie, and I hate his ride. Never had the pleasure of the decidely ill-thought-out stage show. So I like to say hi and take a pic of him hugging DD, but that's about it for me! I voted "indifferent".

You didn't have a choice for "I despise that little blue creep", so I picked "I don't like Stitch".

Too true! Why doesn't Disney just move on! I am sick and tired of Disney throwing Stitch in our faces. Everywhere you go or turn there is Disney trying to peddle the character. No amount of exposure or trying by Disney will get me to like him.

Take him off the wake-up calls, and the park live shows, etc. GIve it up. If they want to waste valuable park property with the Stitch's Great Escape, they can do so, I, along with thousands of others will just skip this area while we are in the parks.

As an adopted child myself -- with an adopted child of my own -- I completely understand. This is part of why the movie speaks to me on such a deep level (and also why Disney's Tarzan is another of my favorite movies). In both movies, Stitch and Tarzan's search for identity is what really drives the story and makes the characters work. Seeing Lilo & Stitch never fails to make me choke up, no matter how many times I've seen it (more than a dozen, I'm sure).
I think that part of the problem here is that his presence in the parks plays into that impression -- it is the way he is portrayed in the attraction. Why couldn't they develop an attraction that used the "reformed" (just enough) version of the character we see at the end of the film and in the series? And why can't they incorporate Lilo as well? To me, she's the heart of the movie and just as important as Stitch to the success of the story.

Thank you for sharing your story. I get choked up watching the end of that movie - every single time. I think I've even sobbed once :). I love it that Disney created a character my boys could identify with. I also wish they would have designed an attraction that showed Stitch's better side. I like Lilo too - she believes in Stitch when no one else does. And don't we all need someone to believe in us - even when we don't deserve it :goodvibes.

I don't think we would have returned to Disney every year without Stitch in the parks. I'm just thankful they have the Ohana breakfast. Its so much fun. Stitch plays with my boys and interacts with them in a much more fun way than many of the other characters. Its a highlight of our trip every year.

There wasn't an "I love him" option, so I chose "I like him".

He is one of our favorites. I like having a character that my boys can relate to. I'm so glad he isn't pink! :lmao:

ITA! And I'm glad to see the poll currently over 2 to 1 in favor of Stitch.

With three boys, it's great to have a modern day character that the boys can relate to. I think they like his mischievous ways as it's pure boy through and through.

My youngest collects webkins, but refuses to go to bed at night without his Stitch plush. My middle son collects Stitch pins on our trips. My oldest has "outgrown" most character interaction, but he gladly gets his picture taken with Stitch.

We don't like the Stitch attraction at MK, but do like the character appearances and plan to do the 'Ohana breakfast because of Stitch.

I am on the love Stitch bandwagon he is my DD's favorite and as another family created by adoption the first movie does have a special place in my heart. Another thing I like is that as much as I love them alot of the Disney Movies have main characters that are so perfect. Lilo and Stitch are more real (if you can call a blue alien experiement real) I think they both have good hearts but they have issues and sometimes make the wrong decisions even if their heart is in the right place.

I don't really know that the problem is that Stich is overused in the park but that what is done of him is done badly. My DD does not even care for the ride she can take it or leave it. We did see the new show last week and she said she liked it but I think that was just getting to see Stich. I was not impressed. The technology (like that in Turtle talk) was good, however, it was really cheesy and not up to Disney standards in my opinion.

I wonder where my niece came up with Rosie. I'll be sure to correct her. She has been calling Angel, Rosie ever since she saw the movie with her in it-I just don't know which one. I guess I better start watching them.

I guess her mom never watched the movie either.

Another point about Stitch... I just got back from Japan, and they are CRAZY for Stitch. You find Stitch merchandise everywhere. I bought a Christmas tree ornament with Stitch terrorizing one of the castles that we visited. I guess their love of Stitch comes from their own version of Stitch (check it out on Youtube... it's painful).

This is my guess as to why Stitch is very prevalent in the parks. I have noticed alot of Japanese guests on my various trips. And they probably buy alot of Stitch merchandise ...

My whole family likes Stitch. I don't think we need any more Stitch shows in the parks though.

My answer's a little more complicated than "I like Stitch" so here goes in prose. I love the movie Lilo and Stitch, and I love the character Stitch in that movie. However, I dislike that the parks marketing department decided to run him into the ground and oversaturate (what year was that? 2006 I think?) the merchandise with him. I really hate that the awesome techology of SIR was covered up to look like a fat cop in the Stitch incarnation, and the ride's no great shakes either. Yuck is pretty much my opinion. Also, I haven't seen the DVD movies or the TV show, so I can't speak to those. So I guess the answer is more along the lines of "I love him in Lilo and Stitch, I dislike what he's become elsewhere."

I agree. I think most people liked Stitch until Disney decided to place him in what many consider to be some of the worst attractions in recent years. I like the character... not fan a of what Disney has done to him.

I really like Stitch, but I don't care for what they've done with him in the parks. I don't hate the ride the way many folks do, but it is okay at best, and that stage show was just painful. It is too bad they couldn't do such a fun character justice in the parks, IMO.
