Booking down?

Has the site for booking been completely going down both yesterday evening and this morning?

I can put all the information in and then when you go to click on check availability it does absolutely nothing, except for make the calendar disappear so you can't change anything about what you've tried to enter it. It will not search.

Yesterday I contacted them through chat and they told me nothing is wrong with the site. So now I'm wondering if something is wrong with my account, but if I seriously miss out on getting a room that I need for my daughter's wedding because of some weird glitch with my account, I'm going to be so pissed off.
 
I’m sorry - I don’t have much to offer except to say that I was able to use the system to make reservations both yesterday and today without issue. I’m sure you’ve already done this but have you tried on a different device?

Yes- I don't know what's going on but we did two different computers and my phone, and suddenly a few minutes ago it worked like everything was normal, so I don't think I'll ever have an answer.
 

I've had this problem when using Chrome off and on for months. It's very annoying. Sometimes I could fix it by clearing cache, exiting Chrome and reloading it. Sometimes I had to switch to Safari. There is another thread about this though, and some people on there had the opposite experience - Safari didn't work but Chrome did. So who knows?

Someone on that thread suggested the issue might be caused by ad blocking software. I use AdBlockPlus, so I disabled it for the DVC website. I've only tried a few times since then, but it's worked just fine. So if you are using an ad blocker it's worth a shot.

It’s so frustrating in the moment though!
YES - it totally threw off my morning, I forgot to put conditioner in my hair in the shower because I was rushing to get out, then somehow was still late to work, AND was super crabby with everyone I saw right away until it was resolved.

I seriously need to set some better expectations for how much I depend on the site working. :rotfl2:

Currently struggling with the site not working as planned (despite incognito mode working for me recently) and it appears to have cost me a rare hard to get booking that popped up within 7mo on my planned travel dates, ugh.

Oh NO!!! I am totally keeping my fingers crossed for you that it comes back. I have my room and as long as I don't mess up by forgetting to walk it out a couple days later this week we should be good. I've been watching a specific room for months, and never saw it booked 11 months out until last weekend, so this is my first go at walking which is a thing I hate to even have to think about doing, but apparently I'm that person now.

I had thought of walking as an unpleasant but effective tool against other walkers and spec renters, but it didn’t even occur to me that it’s also a useful tool for defeating Disney’s IT glitches! 🤪

I know, I feel like calling in to say "LOOK WHAT YOU TURNED ME INTO!" It has to be an overwhelming network of websites to maintain.
 
I had issues yesterday getting my requested reservation. I got through borrowing points and adding guest and then when I submitted it, I got the dreaded dwarves. The points showed up as borrowed on my dashboard, but there was no reservation. About an hour later, I was able to secure the reservation and utilize the borrowed points. However, the thought goes through my mind that had it been a really hard booking category that I was going for, I would have been extremely angry. Disney IT continually makes the case FOR walking with their less than stellar performance.

Site hasn’t let me book all morning. Anyone else having those issues?

At 8am when booking opened the site was very slow and wonky after about 15 minutes it started to work like normal but I didn't move forward to booking. Later on in the day I was able to waitlist.
 
Every single time….. tried it on safari and chrome
