What do you take into the parks with you?

Although I don't want to have a huge backpack or anything when we go to the parks, I do realize that there are some things we should take with us. I would like to try to bring the minimum amount of "stuff" with us. Both of my boys and I will have a fashionable - I mean functional - fanny pack to take to the parks with them so I can avoid being the family pack animal. What do you take with you? Any suggestions are appreciated. TIA

I use a Jansport Sling bag. I try to pack as light as possible, but I have a few "must have items" I cannot do without...

My billfold
Hand sanitizer wipes hand sanitizer gel
Small Kleenex tissue soft pack
Inhaler
All of our meds
Small Tylenol & Dramamine
Gluclose tabs
Digital Camera and extra memory
Small sunscreen
Lip balm with SPF
KTTW card & Photopass card
ADR list
Itenerary
Cell Phone
My folding cane and its pouch
Face powder, mini gloss, mini mascara (to freshen up before a TS meal)
Several baggies
Small hair brush
Spare contacts for the 3 of us and a small solution
Blood sugar monitor and testing supplies
Gum
Trial size deoderant "just in case"
Clean shirt (just in case I get sweaty or it rains)
M&M tube full of alternating quarters and pennies + a small empty tests strip tube for pressed ones to stay in.

I organize it by using baggies as well... all medical items go in one bag, sanitizer wipes and sanitizer into another, sunscreen, and lip balm in another,
make-up items and deoderant in another, clean shirt in a large Ziploc, and spare baggies go in a baggie. :goodvibes I found by doing this it sped up the search last year! I had a couple of times where they truly looked at every baggie and even opened my camera cases, other times they just glanced. :confused3

In my pack, the following:

-A small pak towel
-a small tube with ibuprofen and immodium AD
-two poncho's (one for me, one for the wife)
-Digital camera with extra battery
-a laminated 3x5 index card with ADR's and other useful info
-Hidden Mickey book
-pen and small notepad
-clean socks if not wearing Crocs
-moleskin cut into various sizes
-small soft pack of baby wipes
-a couple of ziploc bags of varying sizes and a couple of pieces of tin foil in case I have left overs.
-a Camelbak 70ml dromedary, partially frozen, then add BOTTLED water on top. To refill, simply add free ice from a vendor. The dromedary is stored in a neoprene sleeve (cut from an old wet suit), and doesn't leak nor does it get hot.

Everything packs into my Mountainsmith Lumbar Pack. It weighs nothing and I don't have to remove it while on rides. As for KTTW cards, ID, money, etc...I usually keep those in my wallet in my FRONT pocket so that I don't have to worry about a pick-pocket.

I take a bookbag or a small bag with a wallet, cell phone, and camera. Keep it simple. The less you carry aroud the better! God bless and happy Mickey

hmmm lessee...
walletish items and appropriate money and tickets
small bottle of sunscreen, sometimes
an empty folded up plastic bag from one of the shops- in case it rains
camera
cell phone
sunglasses and hat I usually have on the whole time, but room to stash them

and this time I'm going alone so I'll also take

ipod
small journal with ADR info and other OCD-trip planning whatnot
about eight thousand pens and sharpies....okay I'd take that anyway
and possibly a paperback book, sometimes

Poncho
Digi cam/extra memory card
A small pill holder with a few of the following: pepto, Advil, tylenol
Moleskin (pre-cut)
Chapstick
Antibacterial Wipes (the individually wrapped ones)
Hidden Mickey Book
My Nintendo DS (yes, I'm 29 years old and I own a DS. And it's pink to boot! It keeps me entertained while waiting for a show to start)
Cell phone
Plastic bag (to stash my backpack in on the wet rides)
A FEW snacks just incase we get hungry and are still in line

I'll definitely be adding the 'BrushUps'! Such a good idea when teethbrushing isn't an option in the parks!

When we visit MK or AK, we pack an extra to store in a locker that has:
extra socks/shoes incase it rains. Since we typically stay in DHS or Epcot area, we can just walk back to the hotel if it pours and we need to change.

This is our first trip. My wife bought a messenger bag. Planning on carrying the following:

Chapstick
Sun Block
Cards (credit, room, ID, etc)
Cell Phone
Digital Camera
Digital Camera Battery
Water Bottle
Medicines (TUMS, Advil, etc)
Sunglasses/Glasses (We're all blind!)
List of ADRs

I'm going bare minimum! I hate overpacking and carrying tons of things.

I'm going to bring my baggellini messanger bag.
2 autograph books and pens
Camera
Comb ( to fix me and my dd hairs for pics...lol)
Little bottle of sunblock on a carabeener ...hooks onto the backpack or stroller.
lanyard for tickets, fp's, disney gift card
3 diapers for dd and small pack of wipes
pressed penny books and money for pressed pennies
a couple little snacks for kids

That's it! We can get free water at the parks in a cup with ice and we have the ddp for snacks/drink if we want one.

My dh and I each wear a fanny bag-that way it isn't so heavy and awkward.

This is what he puts in his:
chapstick
sunscreen (small tube)
small yellow camping towel (to sit on or dry off after ride)
wallet
a poncho
park maps
cell phone
I put in mine:
wallet
medicenes (tylonel or advil put in my change part of wallet)
lip stick and lip gloss ( one tube each)
a pen
a camping towel
poncho
digital camera
sunglasses
an colored index card with our ADR numbers on them ( so when I look in
wallet I will see the color and pull out the card if I need it).
cell phone
moleskin, body glide and band aides
hidden mickey book

It sounds like a lot of stuff but it really isn't. We don't take water bottles anymore because all of the stands will give you water if you ask.
