I miss my extended family. We used to get together pretty often when I was growing up. It was lots of fun. Now, for lots of reasons, we all rarely speak at all.

I miss America.......EVERYTHING about America, too, since we have been in Venezuela for 9 months. However, thankfully we will be returning there in just a few weeks!!!!

My husband, parents, and oldest sister who aren't here any more
My sister and nephew who live in another state
The Fall...change of colors, cool air, high school football games...
Walking in the Fall leaves and hearing them crunch under foot
Being a kid!
Having no worries
The peacefulness I felt during my early 20's
A DUSTING of snow
Feeling secure
Friends who were genuine, etc., etc., etc.
I could go on...

I saw them at Toys R Us this past weekend. I seem to remember them being MUCH larger years ago. When they originally came out, my cousin was a baby. I bought her Tender Heart Bear, and it was MUCH larger.

In comics, I miss "Peanuts" -- RIP, Charles Schultz . I also miss "The Far Side" by Gary Larson.

But most of all, now that my kids are 7 and 11, I miss having a baby -- the closeness and intimacy of nursing, the sweet baby smells, the downy soft skin, the lopsided smiles . . .

I miss... Lake Tahoe. My old house. Being carefree.
