We like the location....love to park hop to Epcot on the way back from whatever park we are in and it is so convenient to just pop out the "back door" to go home. Also, the walk to DHS is about 15-20 min and great for letting the kids burn off a little energy. I also love that they show movies on the beach and we can't wait to try that pool out again!
Cape may cafe has a character breakfast and the merchantile sells hot breakfast sandwiches, cereal etc, etc.
We love walking over to the Yacht club and having breakfast at the Yacht galley. It is never, ever crowded. We have never had to have an ADR. They have a breakfast buffet and a ala carte menu also. Great food.
My oldest DD loves the gelatto at the Market Place. My youngest DD loves their hot chocolate and wishes that would add the whipped cream like at the WL. My youngest DD loves the quiet pool actually better than the SAB for just swimming. They both love to use the slide at SAB.
According to www.disneyrunning.com the loop around Cresent lake is 7/8's of a mile. That might help with how far from BCV to BWV. (He also has the loop to the Studios, but I don't recall what it was)
For me BCV is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. I love being that close to my favorite park (Epcot)
Everything! The relaxing walk to Epcot and the Studios, gelatto and fresh salads and clam chowder from the Marketplace, the whole atmosphere. It makes me think of a summer beach cottage where everyone just runs around in bathing suits all day. The colour/decor...I could go on all day.

Hey, the first line.....was exactky what I was gonna say. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!
But, I have to disagree with the busy-feelin' of it but, I haven't stay at SSR....so maybe that would just be in comparision between the 2. We feel BCV has a VERY laid back atmosphere, which is one of the reasons we LOVE it. At the same time, you are only steps away from ALL KINDS of action (Epoct, Studios, and the Boardwalk). We love being able to walk to 2 of our favorite parks in our down time. We also love the wide-array of rest that are available to us (via International Gate). The pool is one of our favorites. And I have to mention those FANTASTICALLY-DELICIOUS salads at the Marketplace. YUMMY! And who doesn't love a trip the Beaches & Cream.
