What do you look for in a man?

Charisma.

The number one reason I can find a guy attractive. I could say intelligence or humor, but I have had known many very intelligent and humorous guys who I wasn't attracted to at all. They didn;t have the "it" factor: charisma.

Definitely a sense of humor...A 93 year old woman once told me, "Honey marry a man who whistles while he works...and I don't mean a dwarf"...she explained that people who can find a way to be amused in even the most mundane of lifes tasks are keepers, they will bring happiness into your life...

The first thing i look for is physical attraction. I'll be the first to admit that if I don't find a guy semi-attractive, then I probably won't get to know him any better. Once I get to know him though, he has to have a great personality. Sense of humor, sensitivity, passion, etc.

smart and honest, my two biggies! I've always loved a smart man, my DH is very bright! A sense of humor is great too! Another plus with my DH.

But I think that he's the perfect man for me.

DH is also very forgiving, very important. He doesn't sweat the small stuff and laughs when I mess up. Which I have done.

You're so right. I was trying to think of one single trait that always attracts me to someone....regardless of how they look. I have met handsome men who I was not attracted to because of bad personalities, and intelligent or humorous men who for one reason or another didn't do it for me.

I almost said confidence, but that isn't right either. It's charisma...it's what enables us to be helplessly attacted to people who aren't necessarily physically perfect.

Now humor and intelligence are very important to me in an SO, but I thought the original question was what draws you in every time. Charisma does it every time without fail.
