I like mine different ways, but the best to me is with good chili and onions. Of course, I only have it that way when no one else is going to be around me..(burp.) Otherwise it is mustard only. There are some truly odd (to me) things that people put on their hot dogs.

How do you like yours?

either chili and white cheese or mustardr and sweet relish. hot dog relish no, needs to be 2 seperate condimentsd:) dd eats hers with mustard and ketchup, dw adds onions to her chili and mustard dogs too:)

Mustard/Sauerkraut or Mustard/Relish if there is no sauerkraut.

My dad makes these awesome onions for hotdogs, but I don't like them on mine. I will eat them without the hotdog.

ketchup and onions for me. DH puts one stripe of mustard down one side of the bun and one stripe of ketchup down the other. He's an engineer-type--sometimes he's so very precise it cracks me up.

If it's grilled, then I like it nice and black with nothing on it, no bun either. mmmmmm But if it's cooked any other way, I like it with lots of mustard. Sometimes ketchup and relish too.

It depends on my mood -- often, just ketchup and stadium mustard. Other times, I like chili, onions, sauerkraut, etc., etc. -- whatever I can pile on it. :)

There are 2 distinctly different ways to have a hot dog:

1. chili, cheese, pickle relish, onion, mustard.

2. sauerkraut, pickle relish, mustard.

If you eat these regularly (I do not), you will need to learn to be by yourself or gas silently and blame it on a nearby person. ;)

ketchup, mustard, and relish

I like chili and cheese but I prefer ketchup, mustard and relish

I guess the "odd" topping I had in mind was cole slaw. Has anyone ever had a "slaw dog"? I don't know if that sounds yummy or icky..

I like mine plain on the bun - nothing on it but my mouth. Of course, the hot dog has to be quality when there's nothing to disguise the real taste. Every once in a while (maybe once a decade) I'll get really wild and put just a trace of mustard on a really poor quality dog that needs some help. I have to be pretty desperate, though, since I don;t really like mustard.

In my neck of the woods, the only way to eat a hot dog is with mustard, raw onions (diced) and a slice or 2 of dill pickle.

I like mustard & kraut, if I'm at hot dog johnnies it's pickle & mustard.

Yesterday while waiting for my son, there was a dad & daughter walking, the little girl had to be about 3 or 4 he asks her if she wants a frankfurter, she whines no daddy i'm hungry and want a hot dog. :p I looked at him and we both cracked up laughing.

when I was a kid in Catholic Quebec and meat was forbidden on Fridays, the hot dog stands used to serve a concoction called a "guedille". It was a hot dog bun filled with cole slaw and other condiments.

Cool....a search shows that they still serve it some places. Must be that people like it, I don't think too many people still forsake meat on Fridays.http://www.cvm.qc.ca/gestion/2002-2003/sitesPersonnels/Dubord/sitecorpo/menu.htm

Only ketchup. I don't do mustard!

If I'm having a chili dog, then I want chili and onions, and maybe some cheese (especially skyline chili dogs!)

Since moving South, slaw dogs have become the only way to eat hot dogs. They don't even offer sauerkraut in most places. Best bet is yellow mustard, chili and slaw.
