What do you drive and why did you choose it?

I drive a 2003 Honda Odyssey. I got it because I had a toddler and was pregnant with another child. As much as I didn't want a minivan, it was the most practical thing for a young family.

However, now I'm seriously considering getting a Volvo XC90. I feel a bit guilty because my Odyssey is in great condition and runs perfectly and I've always kept my cars for 10+ years. But I kind of want to get away from the minivan thing since my kids are a bit older now. And now that I have moved to a car that is higher off the ground, I don't want to go back to something that is low to the ground. :confused3 Also, I've always loved Volvos.

2009 Toyota Matrix-it's black, sporty, with AWD and has more room than I thought a small car could have. I can easily fit my bike inside.

I had a 2005 Toyota 4 Runner that I LOVED and I still miss it. I'd wanted one of those since I was in HS, and I was thrilled with it. However, I'm single with no kids and there just was no reason to have a vehicle that large. With gas prices climbing every day it just became a luxury that I could no longer justify.

DH drives a 94 Subaru. I keep trying to talk him into getting a new car (or something newER at least) but he loves that car and refuses to get something else.

I had an 89 Subaru. Boy was it ugly but that was the BEST car I have ever had. I put 367K miles on that thing. When the engine died, I replaced it and put another 150K miles on it. The transaxle died and my mechanic told me to let it go. I was so sad :sad2:

I currently drive a 05 Toyota Corolla. Why? for a supposed compact car it is huge and just the right size. It's also a stick and gets 45MPG :thumbsup2

I drive an Infiniti FX35, it's a crossover. I wanted something smaller than my Honda Pilot but still higher than a car. It uses high test gas and it goes really, really, really fast. I had it up to 105 and it felt like I was doing 70, a very smooth ride.

I drive on a lot of two lane roads and when I pass someone I want to be able to get around them quickly and safely and this cars does that really well.

2005 Subuaru Legacy GT
250 Horsepower, 0 to 60 in six seconds, all wheel drive for the yucky stuff but since it's a station wagon and a Subaru it's not exactly a cop magnet.
The fastest way to get where you need to go whenever you need to get there

Space Shuttle.

Filling her up is getting too darn expensive though so I've switched to an '08 Toyota Camry my 1st foreign brand car & loving it. Takes turns better than the shuttle too.
