What do you bring back?

Reading the thread of what people take over I was wondering what people bring back.

For us is it lucky charms cereal, cool aid, corn bread and biscuit mix, clothes and trianers and maybe some DVD's.

what do i bring back!! well here goes , resin boyd bear ornaments, snowglobes, xmas deccies, cds loads disney things, stuff for the house that is very american looking! thats all i can think of right now!!

Deb, DVD's do work if you have a multiregion play, or have been able to 'unlok' your DVD player.

Also remembered, we also bring back hydrocortisone cream as it is a lot cheaper.

We have never had a problem with our multi regional player. A lot of the cheaper machines are definitely a lot less fussy than the expensive ones. If yours isn't multi regional, you can buy one from Amazon for less than £30. If you buy several DVD's, you'll save this anyway.

What don't we bring back?!! Oreo cookies, Sleepytime Extra tea, Teddy Grahams, Crest Whitestrips, OPI nail varnish, Tylenol, clothes, Christmas presents, kids Converse....whatever we can squeeze in!! (Always well within our Customs allowance of course).

We mostly bring back clothes as we dont tend to buy much in the UK. We go with near empty suitcases, and return with them full. We buy a years worth of clothing pretty much !
Worr Lass likes to buy Yankee Candles, which winds me up as they weigh a tonne !
I will buy a new games console or similar if theres something new out that isnt in the UK yet.

My DH and two DD's buy mostly trainers and t-shirts and any other clothes that take their fancy. One of my daughters, who was 15 when we were there last year, can shop for England. I know she spent hundreds on Disney stuff, enough to re-stock the local Disney store. Some Disney gifts that the girls bought in Belz for their friends were selling for virtually double here, making them look very generous.

Most DVD players can be "hacked2 to play multi regions (UK is region 2, USA is region 1)

Usually a load of clothes, Etnies and Emerica stuff that is harder to get over here, loads of dvd's, but the main import this year will be Jack Daniels once again! The green label JD, Single Barrel and the limited edition bottles that cost about £20 over there but go for over £50 in England!

I can't help myself when I see cheap Paul Frank stuff.
I buy trainers, because last time I got some (DC's at about half the price here), they took about a year to come out here.

Also, any kind of American snacks like Lucky Charms, Pop Tarts and Hershey's.

I always get my friends to bring me back a big bottle of pink lemonade when they go and I'm planning on drinking as much Mountain Dew as I can while I'm there.

My db will also be on the lookout for Tab cola.
