Hey! long time.....

trying to use a FP outside of the hours on the reservation? making a sandwich out of the condiment bar or refilling a drink with an old mug?

on my FB town page, the thing most people complain about is not picking up after your dog and doing a DNA test to find out which dog pooped. not kidding.

Lol on mine there was a later who complained about people picking up after their dogs. They should be trained to hold it until they are in their own yards, people look silly with their bags (not a dog owner).

On the listserv for our neighborhood, a recent complaint was about rabbits... that there were too many of them and they were eating people's flowers. One poster suggested releasing tigers to eat the bunnies... his sarcasm wasn't appreciated...

Ahh, the infamous "canned corn" thread. It's just some dumb thing that happened on the boards a while back (I wasn't even there to witness it but have heard tales). It has something to do with someone in one of the parks opening up a can of corn and eating it with a spoon. It was a way to save on dining costs or something. The thread apparently got pretty intense and is still mentioned around these parts.

The ban on political threads

I'm going the other direction & saying political posts/threads. They were banned for a good reason. IMO, the thinly veiled political posts shouldn't be allowed either, but they have been recently. They weren't allowed for the past eight years. Go figure. If any of you are having a hard time finding political forums, I'd be happy to Google some for you.

to go along with the bragging about kids posts, the ones whose kids are doing every single activity under the sun every week, the ones whose child has flown around the world by themselves since 6yo and done totally fine so stop worrying about your 12yo, gone off to camp for weeks since 3yo, and just can't understand other parents worrying about their kids.

Or 50 somethings that walked to school 3 miles alone and can't imagine a kid not walking 3 blocks alone now. Well, it's sad to say but the world is a meaner place than it was even 10 years ago.

The political posts are still not allowed, but the mods aren't omniscient and can't be everywhere or see everything. If you see a post that violates the rules then you can always report it.

Man I remember how contentious things were here pre-ban. It wasn't pretty.
