What Did YOU Order From Room Service ?

I love cheese. Is the cheese plate enough for 2?

Depends how much you like cheese and how good you are at sharing.

It's small, and could have used more crackers but it's probably MEANT for two.

We put out the door hangar each night and always had coffee, bagels, some cereal and muffins. Oftentimes, something was left out of the order. We ordered PBJ sandwiches and cookies for our lunches off the ship at port and left forgot the cookies. Oh, well... the hot dogs were good. It was convenient and they were fast (usually less than 20 minutes). I would check your order carefully each time and maybe even repeat it twice when you order over the phone. It got to be a game to see what they would forget.

one of the best things we did was get the cheese and cracker tray and take it with us to the movie theatre. they had to problem with that at all. we had a special gift in our room from our travel agent hat included sausage so we took that and cut it up...great...we did that twice....both times they said it would take 20-30 minutes but both times they were up in 5..they said they made it a priority..im sure they do this just to make us think we were special, but it was a great service

I, too, used the door hanger to get the continental breakfast delivered to my stateroom, on the mornings the ship was at sea.
I put down what juice, cold cereal, toast, and tea, I wanted in the morning, hang it outside on my door, the previous night, and whatever time period I wanted it delivered at, that morning, it was delivered within that time period.
Actually, the room service waiter would call the stateroom before delivering it. I don't know where he was calling from, but, I barely hung up the phone, he was knocking on my stateroom door.
And about a half hour later, he would be knocking on my door again to take away what was left on the breakfast tray.
I never ordered anything else but continental breakfast, but, on my next cruise, I am thinking about getting a suite, just so I can order the full breakfast from room service. Enjoy!

One night, after a very ..verrrrrrrrrry long day on one of our recent cruises,...we were just starving. You know..you GOTTA eat something...and NOW. We picked up the menu..called room service...and ..well...we went down the list. The only thing we left out was the salad! I can't believe we did that..but we did. We loved the chicken fingers..the cheese plate is awesome..the PBJ..super yumm..and my hubby can NOT do without those cookies! My dd had the pizza..I had tuna...lol...

Just please realize..we did this only once....so far (wink)!

What are the hours for room service? Sometimes DH and I stay up late while DS 5 sleeps.

We loved the room service. My favorite was the chicken tenders. They were absolutely amazing. We also got the mac & cheese, and pb&j (the pb&j were those smuckers Uncrustables! whitch made my day because i'm 21 and still hate the crust) Just remember, if there is something simple that you want that is not on the menu don't be afraid to ask them for it. And one HUGE suggestion, don't order a pop with your meal. Get a refillable mug when you board the ship first of all, and then when you order room service send one person up to refill the mugs. In our case 2 of 4 times the food was there before I got back with the drinks. It worked out great!! And don't forget, you can get this 24 hours so don't hesitate for that late night snack, we found ourselves eating breakfast and lunch at normal time then getting roomservice at about 4, haveing dinner at 8:30 and then having roomservice for midnight snack. Remeber, a cruise is not a place to be dieting. Just give up for several days and enjoy yourself and enjoy the food!

We ordered sandwiches and cookies the night before we went to Megans Bay on St. Thomas for lunch. Yummy:D

I think I remember someone saying the PBJ sand. get soggy if you order them the night before your off ship beach trip. Is that true or should we order them in the morning to take off ship with us?

Never ordered room service last cruise so can't wait to try it out this time!!!!

We put them in the fridge over night and then in a cooler until we ate them. They were a little mushy, but still good!. The choco. chip cookies wre great.

We ordered 4 PBJ and 4 cookies and a huge bucket of ice for the morning of our Grand Cayman trip--they were delivered with a flourish, all with wonderful ruffles chips. We put them in zip loc baggies, put the ice in the collapsible cooler , loaded our food and left the ship with our lunch all ready for us! This worked out great! We even gave a sandwich to one of the cruisers little boys who were getting cranky waiting for their excursion with no food! We got a lot of smiles and thanks--

Just write down whatever you want on the room service card--you do NOT have to stick to the items that are listed!

The tuna was also superb as well as the mexican pizza!

Thanks for the tips. With 5 kids I'd hate to see my lunch bill when we can be eating Disney's PBJ's and COOKIES! :D :smooth: :smooth:

argh....WHERE is my collapsible cooler....
god...i put it away in a REALLY good spot and now i can't remember where i put it...and we leave for the states in less than 3 weeks!!!!......)*(*&^&^%$*)(&()&)(^*(&#$&*#%.....wouldn't you know it...can't find it when i need it...

i'm planning on ordering from room service to take with us on our excursions...

i wonder if the concierge rooms get to order anything else....

My understanding is that guests in Cat 1,2 & 3 rooms have expended room service. They can order off of any of the restaurant menu (not sure about Palo's) in addition to the normal room service menu. In addition, they can order a hot breakfast instead of just the continental breakfast.

We plan on taking full advantage of this, especially the breakfast!

Did you really have to mention the cheese?! OMG!! I too am a blue cheese freak, I would order 2 plates and eat it all (okay, sometimes I didn't eat the "Regular" cheese). I am not a walnut fan, but they were fabulous!!!

This in and of its self is enough reason to have late dinner.......about 4:30 I was on the phone to room service....every day of our Magic cruise!

4 1/2 months to the Wonder...I think I'll just eat the cheese plate the entire cruise!

The cookies were great too....but that cheese! What a luxury on the verandah.....watching the waves and the clouds........I want to be there NOW!!!

Happy eating!!

Susan
