The Wii is waaaay too much fun! We've had our for quite a while and LOVE it.

...I think I injured my ankle playing Wii Sports over the weekend :rotfl: :rotfl:
Careful, Mint. Make sure that WiiMote wrist strap is on good. Today it's your ankle, tomorrow it's your TV screen when your WiiMote goes flying across the room as you try to throw your beloved out at home plate. rofl! (hope your ankle is ok!)

this will have to do! GRAND MASTER A! WOOT!

WHAT are you doing to your wife's candy? And does she know?

And the real question is are you better at GH3 than your kids? Adults are never better than kids at that game.

Oh, believe me, I've heard the stories. I have a death grip on that thing while playing Wii Sports, even with the strap on.

Something kind of scary happened yesterday, though. I borrowed Mario Party 8 from my brother and I was playing it with my fiance. With all the Mario Parties, we always play as a team rather than against each other and we pass the controller back and forth after each turn. Well, because we were playing it like that this time, too, we weren't putting the wrist strap on because it would get annoying to put it on and take it off after every turn. Every now and then on that game, there will be an occassion where they want you to throw a dart at a dart board and you have to simulate tossing the dart with the WiiMote. Knowing my luck, that happened during my turn and, with the strap off, I was so scared of that thing flying out of my hand. Thankfully, everything was fine, but that scared me.

Love the picture Aengus.....LOL....rock on dude!!
Goofer....how do you think Rockband compares to GH? GH doesn't annoy me unless somebody is really butchering the song, but we do have Wii HSM and one of the Sing Star games and because you have to listen to ppl who cannot always sing....that gets annoying to me. So I'm afraid the singing part may get annoying! Just curious.
One of the best things about the Wii is that 4 ppl can play together. We spent alot of New Years Eve playing Wii playground dodgeball and Mario Strikers.

I got a way to stop the HSM2 songs, start singing with them it works everytime. :) Nothing like mom knowing the words just as good as the kids.:cool1:

For Christmas, I gave my 10 year old Wii Excite Truck, Wii Play, and tony Hawk Downhill Jam - I am almost done with them so he can play them soon ;)

I was graced with some items and of them included money lol. With that money I spoiled myself with some very nice speakers (what's a college dorm room without sweet music and head-bangin' bass? lol) and Guitar Hero 3 lol. I figured that with all this huff about it, I may as well join the addiction and alas, I did! haha. Although, I haven't been so adventurous as to try things such as that flying split, Aengus, haha, I have successfully mastered the easy level, the medium level and am currently working on the hard level which is starting to pull together quite nicely if I do say so myself haha.

Aside from that, I got a piano book (jazz)...so when I'm not rockin' out on Guitar Hero, I am jazzin' it up on the piano lol. I also got a coat, mittens, sweater, shoes...ya know, the traditional Christmas gifts as received from family members who either don't know what to get you or the ones who know the things you need most but would never spend money on. (Apparently Santa, lol, knew I'd never spend my money on a winter coat even though my old one has undergone a series of sew jobs and is yet still falling apart...lol).

Overall, I'm quite pleased with my collection of gifts and as they sit in a pile...in my room...I will admire them there...in that pile...until the day I head back to college lol. What's the use in actually picking them up and replacing them when in only 2 week's time, I will move them again? lol. Ah the wonders of being organized in a disorganized sort of way. Teehee. ;) :upsidedow

I do not play either of the games so I can not compare them for that. But I can say I enjoy GH music more so far. The creators of GH were smart selecting songs that the parents would enjoy hearing. You won't hear me yelling "Turn that down will you" :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have not heard any singing thank goodness. My son and his friends use the guitar and drums and I have not heard any singing. Not sure I would want to hear them or anyone else sing, especially if they were butchering the song.

For Christmas I got a Wii with wii sports game, wii play, The Simpsons game, Super Mario Galaxy, and some shooting game with a gun type of thing lol.

Can't wait to see what :santa: brings me next year :) :goodvibes
