So me and DF went shopping yesterday at Hobby Lobby, as I was on the hunt for some materials to start making a few samples of the diy stuff I have planned to make for our wedding (i.e. handmade save the dates and stuff like that).

The main thing I was looking for were materials to make his mother a hand-made special button to wear in the park. The DF was very surprised when I mentioned this.

I then told him of my tentative Wedding Day schedule; MK/Epcot Photoshoot, Wedding Ceremony, Reception (As of yet unknown) and then we would spend the day at the Magic Kingdom with the whole family. He was a bit taken aback.

What did everyone else do after the whole traditional wedding parts? :)

We also had an Escape Wedding...

We started off with MK and EPCOT photo shoots in the morning. Then back to BWI where we had plenty of time for Patricia LeJeune to do my mom's, MOH's and MIL's hair and makeup (I got to just relax during this time and get a touch up and so did DH! -Relax, not a touch up! :rotfl:)

Our ceremony was @2:30. With the cake cutting and all, it took about an hour, then we did pictures with Randy while our guests were shuttled over to AKL for our dinner at Jiko. Dinner was from about 5:30 to 7:30ish I think then we all made our way back (via van and Limo or Town Car) to EPCOT for our DP!

It was a full day and went by VERY quickly! I guess as far as what did we do after the official wedding parts, the official activities ended at 9:30pm after the DP but we did get to go back into EPCOT (all those that wanted too that is) after I went back to the hotel to change, as EPCOT had EMH that night, so we stayed out until midnight! Thinking back, we should/could have extended it even more by heading over to Jellyroll's but my niece was not 21 yet, so we decided to just call it a night afterwards! It was a full and exhausting (yet loads of fun!) day!

This is our very loose wedding day plan:

-Get up, eat breakfast and lounge around the poo/resort until the hair dresser comes/I go to the hair dresser.. no clue what time this will be though.. maybe 12?
-Do my makeup, get into the dress
-First look with DFi and pictures with family
-5pm ceremony
-a few more pictures before DFi and I head to the reception restaurant
-6: reception
-?: continue the party at Jellyrolls
-Go back to our resort as husband and wife!

We are planning on going to Jellyrolls after if we feel up to it. Our reception doesn't end until 11 p.m...we are having a 5 pm ceremony. Dress steamer comes at 10 and hair/makeup at 11.

Our ceremony is @4, dinner will follow and we'll probably be done around 7. I'm campaigning for a trip into the MK to go see fireworks or the parade but my H isn't a big fan of the idea. I think we're gonna wait and see how we're feeling and how our kids are doing (we have 3). IMO the fireworks or parade is the most perfect way to end a special day :)

what part surprised him? i'm just thinking i would be doing something with just my now hubby.

we had a morning wedding, brunch reception. it ended ~3ish and actually we took MORE pictures after the reception... he and i went back to our honeymoon suite and took a nice bath which also kind of flooded all over the floor because i made bubbles. this became more embarrassing as we had to rush off to dinner for two at victoria & alberts - and i forgot about turn down service? so poor mousekeeping cleaned up my mess and i felt bad!

anyways, what does he imagine? people do lots of differnet stuff i imagine.:lovestruc

We did our 10 am ceremony, photos with David and Vicki, noon reception, more photos with David and Vicki, changed clothes and met up with family at the MK. We were there until about 9ish and then came back to our room at the GF to watch the fireworks from our balcony. As soon as the fireworks were over, we promptly passed out. :rotfl:

I was an Escape bride this past May with a 10am ceremony at Sunset Pointe. Beaute Speciale came around 5am to do my hair and makeup, as well as my sisters hair, and my mothers makeup. The limo picked up my now-husband and his parents from Pop around 8:30, took them to the Poly, and came for us around 9. We used Disney photography, upgrading to the Photojournalism package, so I did some pictures with my parents and sister before hand. The ceremony started right on time, and was over by 10:30. We did our 1st dance, cake cutting, and photos on the beach until our 11am reservation at Kona- had to have Tonga Toast on my wedding day! They hubby and I took a lap in the Monorail simply because I'm a geek and wanted to ride it in my dress. It was a blast though and we met some awesome people! The limo dropped us back off at our resort (POR) around 2, and we were playing in the MK by 4! I left my tiara in because the thing was shellacked (sp?) to my head, lol. We met up with our parents and hit the Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, PeopleMover, and Carousel of Progress- it was awesome! My favorite memory of the entire day is riding Space Mountain with everyone (my dad still brags to his friends about it, lol). Since there were only 8 of us, we booked the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes dessert party instead of doing a private one, and my mom still raves about it! She loved it, and swears it's n ow her favorite memory of all-time. After, we took lots of pics on Main Street, and took our time leaving the park.

We chose to do our MK photos a few days after the wedding- good thing too because my dress was trashed afterwords! The whole bottom is black, some of the organza layers on the skirt are torn, and there's water marks all along the skirt (they were hosing down all the 'streets', and the lawn by the castle moat was soaked with dew).

I think he knew I would want to go to the MK and see Wishes that night, but I guess he was surprised that I wanted to spend the day at the park with both our families. He figured I would want it to be just us, but WDW reminds me of families and having fun together as a family. That's what I want on my Wedding Day.
