What CROCS did for me!!

Rats! Wrong end of town. I'm having my daughter check at the Kendall store. Hope they have them there or I will have to go trek up to Adventura.
I also found them at Outdoor World off of I-95 in dania. Even more of a trek sorry. The colors were more limited there. No purple. Good Luck. If you find Lime let me know. ::yes::

Okay so I'm at Disney for a week and miss like 9 pages of the Crocs thread.

My experience with Crocs...but first I just have to say what a fabulous time we had in Disney. Very sorry to return to not even luke warm weather here in Southern Ontario.

Okay back to the story...I have red Caymans and wore them from morning to night for the first 3 days of our trip. I did bring another pair of shoes (Doc Marten slides) and thought I would at least try them out. I got sore burning feet and not blisters but that rubbed feeling, so back to the Crocs I go for the rest of the trip. My feet were very happy :rotfl: My feet were rather sweaty in them and I would have personally preferred the Nile version. I'm a sandal kind of gal and wanted to show off the lovely French Pedicure I had for my trip ;) but as Crocs in general are not yet available in Canada I did the best I could and was thankful to even get my Caymans.

My feet did get a little dirty as more "things" can flow through the holes but on the Kali River ride where we got wet and then wetter still when it rained in AK I was thankful to NOT be wearing my leather Docs. I didn't like the wet feeling inside them but they never rubbed or gave me blisters when they were wet.

I am very happy with my purchase and the performance of the shoes for me on my trip. My feet did start to get very tired on the 7th and 8th days but whose wouldn't after all that activity. My legs and feet did not suffer that burning sensation when you've been on your feet too long though. That was nice.

As for Crocs sightings...My 3yr old pointed out some nice bright yellow ones to me. "Mommy she has the same shoes as you". In all I saw 5 different sets of Crocs and I received an unsolicited "I love your shoes" from a lady wearing Berks. :rotfl2: I also ran into a fellow DISer in the Barber Shop at MK. She was wearing Beach and her daughter in Niles.

I also found another DISer on the bus and I asked her if she read the Crocs thread. When she said she had I pointed out my shoes. We had a laugh together. It was such a great trip.

We have a trade show in Toronto showcasing the Crocs but it's not until August. I'm hoping to score me a pair of Niles before then. A summer of Crocs so okay I'm a convert, I love my shoes

Confessions of a "Moc Croc" wearer. :guilty:

I posted earlier in the thread that Crocs made my feet too sweaty. Well truth-be-told, what I was wearing were the Payless knock-offs. When I decided to give them another try I went to a local sporting goods store (G.I. Joe's) and bought a pair of Beach Crocs. There is a huge difference! With the way the vent holes were placed, I can actually feel more air circulating. Also, the nubs on the footbed are more noticeable. So, once again I tried to take the cheaper route and wound up spending more money than if I would have just bought the "real" Crocs to start with. When will I ever learn? :confused3

Oh, no Calypso! I JUST got back from Payless where I FINALLY found moc Crocs and got one in my size. Guess I'll wear them around the house for awhile before I take them outside so I can return them if they're too hot or not comfy like my Crocs!

Funny story, though. At the mall, I found a Payless with them for the first time. Of course they didn't have my size in the color I wanted so she went on the computer and found a store near my house with them. After work I headed there and asked for them. She handed me a pair of tennis shoe slide type shoes in LIME GREEN. Not exactly the black Crock knockoffs I'd asked for, but maybe it meant something! (Time to go to Disney?)

I'll let you know how my mocs feel after a bit.

Hi,
I just ordered some Niles from Island Trends. They had several colors listed that I did not realize Niles came- emerald, pink, navy, khaki and purple. I ordered Pearl white and pink!
My foot is a 7 1/2 wide so I ordered an 8. Hope this is right. They are now sized in whole sizes.

Went to a store in Tulsa today called the Spa. There shipment of nile came in today (they were unpacking them when I walked thru the door). I bought navy blue. And they ran true to size on me. Stopped at Walmart on my way home and the lady in the ck out line had on pink beach. First I had seen on anyone. Hope these work next week in WDW!

Just back from WDW and 4 day wonder cruise. The crocs were awesome on the cruise!!!!! The only time I did'nt use them was at dinner time, and that was because the DH said no. :rotfl: On the cruise I spotted only one pair.
At WDW, DD and I used only our crocs, I wore my caymans and DD her niles. We did'nt have any problems at all. We both had happy feet! The only sighting of crocs was in the Barber Shop :wave2: Princess Aurora
The DH felt left out,so we are going shopping this weekend for him! We are soon to be a croc family and proud of it!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I wear mine all day...swithc between my sage green Beach and my purple Cayman's. I love them. But this is the strange thing...when I go to bed, my feet/ankles start to hurt a bit. I tried getting out of bed and putting my Crocs back on and they felt better!!! What is up with that??!! Am I going to have to wear them to bed now??

Rather than feeling sweaty, my foot bottoms almost have a powdery feel to them. Yesterday I thought they were sweating, so I took off my Crocs and my feet were dry, not sweaty at all...just powdery feeling. I wonder if it's that resin that makes them feel like that. But, I'm still loving mine.

:wave2: Hello Back :goodvibes. My DH would not be caught dead in Crocs. He's a Doc sandal kind of guy. But I went from Docs to Crocs :rotfl:

Still living in mine! :goodvibes  Can't wait to give them the *ultimate* test in a few days!! :rotfl: :flower:

Ok, I love my CROCS, all 6 or 7 pairs, but I have a few questions for all of you CROCers out there.
I rotate the different color pairs, but I have some I wear more often then others. I put on a brand new pair this morning and they felt a lot different than the older ones... I got the pair in question at the same time as 2 other pair, but they got lost till I could ease them into the house.(DH still doesn't know just how many pair I have, but then neither do I!)
The un worn ones are a little stiffer and more bouncy at the same time. Not in a bad or better way then the oldest worn pairs. Also the little nobbies on the foot bed are much more, well, "nobbier", or I can feel them more. This is also not good/bad. Just different.
And I can't decide if I like the "new" or the "old" feel the best!
Also it is pouring rain, and the older ones are a little slippery, but then again I am not using the strap, so I can't compain! Love them in the puddles, I feel like I am a little kid again!
So, is it just me and my mind? Or has anyone else noticed any thing like the differences between old/new pairs?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: When I first read this I thought that "The" Princess Aurora was wearing them... w/ her long pink dress, etc :rotfl2: I was thinking :scratchin "mmmmm, that's strange, shouldn't she be wearing fancy slippers or something?" :scratchin & "what is she doing at the Barber shop?" :scratchin

Then I scrolled down & realized you were talking about another poster! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

 What a flake I am today

Someone may have actually asked and or answered this question before so I apologize....I have REALLY bad knees, after walking for a couple of hours they are in bad shape......as anyone with knee problems tried the crocs?

I got sick of waiting for the back-ordered pair, so I picked up a pair of navy blue ones at Dillards. I wore them out of the store and almost bounced around the mall. I have very wide and tall feet and was happy they fit me. Love the arch support that was still soft and cushiony. I have iffy knees, and my knees don't hurt at all, nothing hurts.

I let my friends try mine... and discovered wearing my new cartoon shoes felt better than being barefoot! Now my DS wants a pair...

:rotfl2:

I've been keeping my crocs on the bookshelf, because my cat Tiger Lily likes to sharpen her claws on my flip-flops, and I was afraid she would do it to these, too!

Today I found out I didn't need to worry- she is TERRIFIED of them! I had them sitting by the door to the living room, and she wouldn't even go in the room! The closest she's gotten so far is a foot away. Too cute to watch!

I don't have cartilage in one of my knees and the joint is beginning to degenerate. The first couple times I wore mine all day long my knee was a little sore at the end of the day but nothing really out of the ordinary. Other things that usually hurt weren't hurting so maybe I didn't notice as much. ;) But, they don't seem bother me at all now.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this ... the thread is way to long at this point!

I bought my DD a pair of the pink Payless knock-offs. She took a full two sizes smaller than her regular shoe size. She's almost 6 years old and takes a size 12-12 1/2 in a regular shoe. The size 11's literally fell off her feet, even with the strap in place. We bought a size 10 1/2 instead.

OTOH, I bought a pair of regular Crocs in size 8 and I took a size 8 in the Payless brand too. In fact, I need to stretch the strap on my Payless shoes a bit to bring my toes back from the front. I usually wear a size 8 - 8 1/2.

Just wanted to let you know my 13 year old SON wore his to school today (we really haven't had the weather for it before). As I said earlier, I bought them for my boys for camping, and never thought they'd wear them at home! We'll see what the verdict is when he returns! And, just coincidentally, he and I wear the same size :teeth: so now I have a pair of Navy Blue ones I can borrow!

So far I'm finding my Payless ones even more comfortable than my Crocs. Probably because I have a narrower foot, they seem more "closed in" on the top - ie my foot isn't bouncing up and down as much. Also because of the sizing. I got the 10-11 Beach Crocs, but the 10 at Payless which is a better fit. So I guess I'd say the Payless run pretty true to size - at least what you'd normally buy a sandal in (1/2 to 1 size smaller than regular size). My store still didn't have any kids' ones so I can't say how they ran!

Wore my black ones today.. and for me that's progress! I haven't changed out of my blue ones for weeks :goodvibes :cool1: :flower:

Has anyone found any around Western NC? I can only find the Payless versions, and they never have my size! :sad2: Thank goodness I was able to pick up a PL pair at Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago! Now, I just have to find the real CROCS! :cool1:
