What CROCS did for me!!

Yeah! I just got my Niles from comfortablshoes.com. I love them, I can't wait to try them to see if they are as comfortable as the beach model. I have been telling everyone about these shoes. I just can't believe how great they are.

Just bought my first pair of Beach Crocs at Tradehome Shoes in the mall. What a GREAT shoe. UGLY as sin but SOOOO comfy! I can't wait to let my mom try them out!

I wore mine Sea Blue Beach to work today. I work at a Vocational High School and several people were asking about my shoes. My boss, the school social worker, and some of the ladies in the cosmo shop all tried them on today. Although at first they gave me a strange look like, "what's that on your feet?" they all loved them once they got them on their feet. Next thing out of their mouth was "where can I get some of these?"

Thinkin of getting some for our up coming trip. I just have to get over how they look. :earboy2:

Looks as though I had to go and defend myself again--For such a happy place..there seems to be an aweful lot of ugly people out there. I just wanted to help here, but instead I offended some...I am going to take a break for awhile and I'll be back when people get off there high horses and stop trying to rain on others parade!!
There is another thread "the anti-croc thread they are calling it. But they say we are spreading false information over here and it isn't so (makes me mad) so carry on and I hope everyone has a wonderful time at WDW this season! I'll be reading still but not posting.
Thanks for the support here.

Don't let them bother you!! They're just cranky cause their feet hurt!! ;)

I for one an very happy I found this thread with your suggestion. I'm always up for comfy shoes and when they are less than $100 I'm especially happy!!!

Thanks for spreading the joy! :grouphug:

I don't think that the Nile have as much cushion. I wore them on Saturday when I had to stand all day, and my feet were sore by the end of the day. Not horrible, but I could tell I'd been standing all day. When I wore my beach Crocs, I didn't have any problems at all. Great cushion. I'm sure that Saturday could have something to do with the fact that I was dead tired too.

Disneyworld - all I can say is you're tempting fate! My feet NEVER hurt until a few years ago (well, maybe after a full day of running around the parks they'd be tired). Then I got plantar fascitis (sp) and heel spurs like so many other people on these boards (this thread in particular) and so many people I talk to. Most of us are just looking for anything that helps us to not be in pain (and to avoid surgery if possible). Instead of putting others down, maybe you should be more grateful that your feet DON'T hurt. If mine didn't, I probably wouldn't have read this thread in the first place!

I don't see Crocs as the "be all, end all" that others do, but so far they've been comfortable and a nice alternative to sandals. I don't think I could wear them all day at Disney like others have, but I've never had a pair of sandals of any type (yes I've tried Tevas and Columbia and many others) that I could. But they are SO light and airy, that they seem great to relax in when getting out of regular shoes, tennis shoes, etc. at the end of the day. Plus good for just throwing on for errands, soccer games, and great for walking at water parks.

I also think they'll be great for camping this summer. I just got my husband and 2 older boys (11 and 13) a pair on Saturday (our local store didn't have small enough sizes for my 9 year old). They wore them all day yesterday and thought they were great. I really thought I'd have to convince them to wear them camping because of how dorky they looked and figured they'd NEVER wear them around home where people could see them. But they even liked them. I think they'll be good because they are so lightweight, float, rinse off so easily plus don't get sand and stuff in them (like watershoes) but since they have the closed toe (unlike sandals), they can also wear them biking (I don't let them bike in sandals). Plus they make good shower shoes. I just ordered a pair for my youngest so he'll have them before we camp the first time too!

As far as them being ugly, I think it's really a "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing. The more people see them (and they're definitely becoming more popular even here in Michigan), the more they'll get used to them and the better they look. I no longer think they look ugly, and as I mentioned, really don't care as long as they're comfortable!

Okay, this thread has made me second guess myself. I bought a pair of Crocs about two weeks ago and was planning to return them. They seem so big and sloppy on my feet, and I have wide feet! The person who mentioned about wearing them camping got my attention. They would be perfect for that, and for working in the garden. I may still go back to the shoe store and try on the smaller size though. Has anyone else wound up with a smaller size than was recommended for them? I wear an 8.5 in sneakers, so the salesperson told me to get the M.

One more thing....I told my college freshman DD that I had purchased a pair and she about flipped! She said, "Promise me mom that you won't wear them to the mall. Those shoes are so dorky!

Finally picked up a pair of Crocs this weekend from Hallmark and I would definitely not be walking around the park in them but they are great for in the house/garage shoes. My feet definitely sweat in these so I could not imagine being in out in the sun with them all day. Least I can say, been there, done that! lol

Mary J....I'm a size 8/8 1/2. so I bought the size medium. They swam on me, way, way to big. I returned them a got a size small. They are absolutely perfect. I also bought the smaller sizes for my dh and my dd. With ours, a size smaller was the way to go. They fit all of us perfect.....

Mary J - I usually wear a 10 1/2 shoe, and a 10 sandal. I got the 10-11's and they are too big. But I tried the 8-9's which were too small (short). I'm wearing the 10-11's and doing okay with them, however. But I wish there was a 9-10. If I ordered any others I'd definitely get a 10 in the Cayman's instead. Unfortunately, no one around here sells them (only the beach) so I'd have to buy them on faith! Definitely try a smaller size - it sounds like they stretch a bit too.

I am usually in a 7- 71/2 I am a wearing the 4-5 ex-small, the next size was too big. I guess that I am one of the few, but I don't think that they are ugly. I have 3 pairs now and I LOVE them. I also have Tevas that I never wear because they hurt my feet. My 5 yr old son wants some so now I have to try to find his size. Has anyone found small blue ones anywhere?

They have kids sizes of the Airwalk (the CROC knockoffs) at Payless. The kids shoes were mixed in with all the other kids' shoes in the store. The adult ones had their own display against the wall.

Ladies, did you see? Crocs redid the online store page at their website. MUCH nicer.. with better pics of these loveable shoes! :goodvibes

I thought they only had pink for the little ones at payless, I'll have to go and see. Thanks
