What credit score do I need to get a Disney Visa? Or what other specific criteria needs to be met?

No speculation please, looking for specific info if available from someone in the know.

TIA...

Nobody knows specific criteria (except those that determine the criteria). . . but you can check the Credit Pulls database to get an idea if you're in the ballpark.

www.creditpulls.com

It's a Yahoo Group that collects info from members who want to add to the database. They typically ask what CC, approved or denied, score, and any derogatories. So you can search for the Disney CC and see what things other people were approved or denied with, and see if they're somewhat similar.

My credit score was in the Low 620's when I got the cars @9%. But I had no other cards.

Wow! That's an interesting site! I looked up "Disney Visa" and didn't specify a state. Looks like minimum score approved is 608 w/no neg on report. Interesting that a person with a score of 753 only got a 2000 credit limit?? Perhaps they have a lot of open, revolving credit.

Really, the credit score isn't the only factor in determining approval. There is income to consider, job stability, etc. I think it was on Chase's website where I've read the requirements for approval for the card. I just logged on and checked and as expected - the requirements vary considerably based on your credit. They are advertising A variable APR, currently as low as 14.24%" and I know for a fact that my interest rate is set at 9.9 fixed right now.

I have one other credit card with a 15K limit ( I keep it paid off) and a 5.9% interest rate ( I called and had it lowered from 12%). I have no other bills or revolving charges and have recently paid off my van leaving only my mortgage and utility bills. My credit score is 725. I was denied a Disney Visa. According to their letter I didn't have enough debt. Go figure!---Kathy

No, you don't have enough revolving credit established, open or in use for them to evaluate... not debt.

You can probably call them and still get the card. Don't reapply - just call their customer service number and see if they can fix it for you.

Thanks for the advice. Actually I don't really "need" another CC so I won't be pursuing anything with Chase. The letter I received actually said I did not have enough revolving accounts OR debt. My father recently had a CC revoked with Discover because for years he has paid it on time. He used it frequently as it allowed rewards which he collected. They wrote and told him that because he never had a balance they would no longer keep him as a customer. I guess he didn't have enough "debt" either and they were not making money on his account.---Kathy

I have accounts closed because they were considered "inactive". I've never had a card closed that I was actually using - even though I do not carry balances. But then, I've never had a Discover card, either. :confused3
