What characters need more presence in the parks?

I would like to see Remy.
We met Remy and Emile at the Finish Line party for the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon - they were meeting in France. So the possibility for M&Gs is there..why they haven't done it regularly, I don't know

Re: Pocahontas - we met her at Characterpalooza in November. For those who want to meet her, that may work out for you in the future.

I know this isn't exactly what the OP was asking but here is my list of who I wish my family and I could actually meet/see.

1. Any of 80's/90's Disney Channel Characters that I grew up with (Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Tale Spin, etc.)
2. Baymax
3. Dipper and Mabel

The Thread is: What characters need more presence in the parks?

--Pixar (rides).
--Contractually allowable Marvel presence.
--Rapunzel attraction.
--More Villains on a regular basis.....every Friday the 13th...
--Seven Dwarfs (a ride, but no Characters unless during Halloween).
--Fewer 'older' characters (i.e., Chip'n'Dale, Baloo).
--More newer characters (i.e., Sofia, Baymax) to enliven young children.

But in general, I would enjoy just seeing a bit more of the commercial - Characters walking through the Parks and waving to the crowd (see above: Villains). Also, a little bit of commotion without any autographs might give some families hope of not having to wait on long lines for a meet'n'greet. There is a little of this, but more would be delightful and takes away from the need to wait on lines.

We named our son Gideon, partially after the character from Pinocchio. I wish I could find more stuff with him on it. Or find him in the parks - never managed to grab his attention during the parade for a pic.
Some of the characters that were out often in 2004 when I worked Fantasyland are no longer around much. Or at all, in the case of Merlin - he was always in character even backstage. Loved him!

We met Launchpad from Duck Tales and Rebecca from Talespins back in 2000. Would love to see all of those characters out and about.

In December Jiminy Cricket, Pinnochio and Mastro was in the Festival of Fantasy Parade.

Jungle Book would be fun though hard to do for most. We met Baloo in AK in 2002. Would love to see Robin Hood characters.

More Pixar! I agree with the idea of wall e as well, he should be in tomorrow land they could do to meeting fun without being an actual character. Lion king definitely needs more love as well. But we would really live more toy story Li an expansion of Pixar place maybe? Themed meal in the least!!!

Remy used to have a M&G at Chef's de France while you were eating lunch. WE met him there and he was ADORABLE. He was actual size... and just so cute.

I went to Disney for the first time when I was 8 (1989) and Minnie, Mickey, Pluto and Donald were everywhere! They would walk through the park and you could just walk up to them. Now all of the main characters are found in the Character Spots and you have to wait in line to see them. How the times have changed! Can you imagine if Anna and Elsa were to just walk around now? Everybody would bombard them!

You're right. I mean, it's very easy to find the fab four to get a picture, but it would be great to see them out more often, and in different outfits!

Some of the mentioned characters DO appear in the parks. Admittedly I haven't checked lately, but B'rer Rabbit used to be part of the Frontierland Hoedown, as someone mentioned you can meet the Incredibles in Hollywood Studios, Rafiki and Pocahontas in the AK, etc. Kenny the Pirate used to have the go-to site to track down characters; he charges for it now but I assume he still keeps on top of things and will probably subscribe next time I'm headed out there.

Steve Soares' site is one of my absolute favorites, and he lists many of the characters (or character meeting possibilities, like the Hoedown) and updates every week. Still free. :)

VILLIANS.
Princes
Pixar Rides. I'm still waiting for the Monster's Inc Door Roller coaster (from the scene at the end...)
Pixar Characters.

Esmeralda! Give the dads someone to pose with for a change.

(Back during the days of the World Showcase character bus, Esmeralda was often on it, and I have a couple good photos.)

I was going to add Pocahontas to the list, but she actually appears quite often in the paths near the Tree of Life, in one of the less-traveled areas. If you find her, you'll likely have little or no wait.

I am going to go with Robin Hood. I still love that movie and don't recall seeing any representation in the parks. It's definitely one of my favorites!

With Guardians of the Galaxy supposedly on the "approved" list of Marvel characters for use at WDW, I think Groot would be a no-brainer.

Star Lord would be a face, but the others would be tough. Gamora you would think would be a face, but all that green paint? Drax? And how would you do Rocket??

Star Lord and Gamora were both out once for the Villain's party at DHS. So logistically, they can be done. Not sure why they were never seen again.
