What candy do you buy in Epcot Countries?

Some one needs to start posting pictures of the candy like they do the food and desserts so I can have candy dreams!

Wow, I guess I never realised that some candy bars like coffee crisps are not sold everywhere ;)

Glad nobody said Mars bars from UK (Epcot), now I know there will be some there waiting for me.
Also the salted Licorice from Norway is very good.

not sure if they are in the UK pavillion but most of the time after school (if the bus hasn't come yet) i always go into the shop just outside the bus station and buy a cadbury's dairy milk with caramel bar

also dairy milk with creme egg bars just came out yay :) if anyone hasn't had a creme egg it's basically a small cadburys chocolate egg with a fondant centre made to look like an egg yolk i like to bite off the top of it then like out the fondant icing before eating the rest of the chocolate

oh and the plain dairy milk bar is good too

I like the Perugina dark chocalate covered almond bar in Italy...soooo good! But they're like $3 for one!

Flake is the best! I buy extras for the return trip home! I got them for the first time when I went to Ireland. Disney is the only place that I can find them! YUMMY--- :cheer2:

We bought our first rice candy in Japan a couple weeks ago. It is good!

My kids love the pocky sticks in Japan. DS likes the rice candy too. He did say you have to leave the inside wrapper on (it apparently dissolves) or it tastes terrible.

DD found the smarties in Canada too (and learned the jingle). She liked them.

One to stay away from? The skittles looking candy in Mexico. Luckily, it was only $1. The look on DD's face was priceless! Apparently, it's some type of seed covered in a candy shell, and the seed itself is VERY bitter.

.

Yes, once I realized I was not to take the inside wrapper off, it was enjoyable. I got very frustrated when trying to remove from the first piece!!!! DD9 just couldn't understand that concept!!

any other new items there lately?? we leave in 9 days to go back!!

Pocky in Japan, and anything in Germany. I lived in Germany from the age of four to the age of seven and love all of the Haribo gummy candies. Also, Milka chocolate. They don't have kindereggs there, though. :sad1:

I also got some maple cadies in Canada a couple of years ago that were really good. They were soft candies, almost like fudge - not gummy. Last October, I looked for them but they only had hard maple candies. Good, but not quite what I was looking for. If you see the soft ones there, they're excellent!

Flakey, Aero, and Crunchie Bars in UK - these kick Hershey's butt. I always buy the cola gummies in Germany, too. :cutie:

We buy chocolate in each country (except Mexico and Morroco---they don't sell chocolate) and then we have a taste test back in our room later that night. I think Norway has the best chocolate--it should since the candy bar is $5! My DD thinks Japan and Italy have the best chocolate. It can get a tad expensive spending $2.50 - $5 on each candy bar but it keeps my DD motivated to get around to all the countries. Now Epcot is her second favorite park behind MK--pretty cool for a 7 year old. Gotta love that chocolate!

is it differnt than the cadbury you buy anywhere here?

Dont' know if you've already got your answer, but I thought I"d do my part.

I went to London in 2004 and had a Cadbury Double Creme Chocolate bar - OMGOSH! I'm not usually a huge milk-chocolate fan, but it was super-duper creamy and smooth. Definitely different than what you get in the States.

I should'a looked in the UK at EPCOT to see if they had them there.

When I worked in NY I thought I'd try the Cadbury's in NY    I had to get my df at the time to send me over a box of Cadbury's bars to survive. It cost £9 for the chocolate (around $18) but it cost £30 to send it (around $60) but it was so worth it to have decent chocolate. Hersey's don't live up to Cadbury in anyway.

How do you eat your egg? Mines is to suck out the inside when I have bitten off the top. Shame we can only get them at Easter.

Hey you guys

anyone want any cadburys chocolate sent to them, I will do that I live in the uk an live on the stuff. Just pay the cost of p&p and the price of the chocolate, I will include reciept so you know I am not ripping you off.

BTW, we went to WDW over xmas 2004, and we took gifts of big bars of cadburys for our servers, went down a treat.
thanks
angie
