What can vacation planning do for me?

We are booked at PP concierge for 5 nights in December. I keep hearing about vacation planning, but what do they do? I know you can order gift baskets (they are very spendy it seems) What else can they do?

You can request a free, signed black and white 8 1/2 X 11 photo of your DD's favorite character.

They will also make any PS's that you want.

You can also order in-room snacks to be delivered, like milk & cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries.

Vacation Planning is the only way to go in our eyes! When we went last Nov I booked the PP (park view) and our hopper passes through Vacation Planning, then they made our Fantasmic reservations and got us 8 seats on the front row of the balcony, they also made our Character Meal reservations, our Blue Bayou restervations (waterside tables), they also had balloons delivered for my nephew's birthday, each of the kids in our party received autographed pictures of the characters, they arranged (for a charge of course) to have chocolate covered rice krispie squares delivered to our room and chocolate covered strawberries to my brother's familys room. They even made reservations for our party at the Rain Forest Cafe even though it isn't a normal thing for them to do. Vacation Planning assisted us in have an awesome vacation, they took the worry out of planning especially since we live in Canada and the long distance charges for reserving that stuff would have cost a mint!

as a liason for family and friends who wanted to send Christmas presents
order a Christmas tree
get ideas for how to deal with DH's knee injury while at the parks

The fact that I didn't have to worry about calling at 8am the day that the Fantasmic and tour tickets were available was huge. Everyone I talked to at vacation was just wonderful. I sent them many, many thank you's.

So...you tell them ahead of time all the PS's that you want and they get them before 60 days ahead?

I have never used VP before but that seems to be a big plus. Has anyone ever not recieved the PS's that you wanted when VP booked them?

That is the beauty about booking through VP, they do all of the phone calls for you! Book your holiday through VP before the 60 days and you should get the reservations you want. When we did it, they asked for our best days and times, our 2nd best and our third best, but we were lucky we got our first pick. Good luck!

For Fantasmic, We were there the week before Christmas and got our second choice for seating.

I can't remember if we got the first or second choice for the tour time.

Yes, definietly call them prior to arrival to get everything you want squared away. You can reach them by phone: 714-300-7526 option 2 or by email at vacationplanning@disneyonline.com If you are ordering something that costs $$$ you'll have to phone them and give them your credit card. We've used them before to set up special treats and baskets in our room as well as other family members traveling with us.
