What building/section is your favorite in SS?

Hi,

We are headed to SS at the end of January. What is your favorite building/section to stay in and why?

I don't think the bus will be too much of an issue because we will have a car. Do those of you with a car drive to the parks or just take the busses?

Have you had luck requesting buildings?

Congress Park!

Easy walk to DTD and the Lego Store!

I always request CP, and even got it when we checked in at 10pm on our last trip.

We don't find it's a long walk to the main pool and AP.

we love congress park. we walk to DD almost every night. Its a great section.

We've been in three different sections and can't say that any are "favorites". They all seem to have advantages and disadvantages depending on your perspective.

Being close to DTD might be an advantage for some, but others may feel they are too far from the main building and pool.

Grandstand either 8 building. I prefer to have a view of the Grandstand pool, but the golf course, canal view is nice too. It is very close to the Carriage House & it's the first bus stop.

I really loved the grandstand section. Great fun pool, really close to the carriage house and main pool too. We stayed in congress park twice and loved it the first time, but had a horrible view the second time. Of the 4 times I have stayed at SSR I have gotten my requests 3 times. We always have a car and never use the buses.

1) Grandstand - easy walk to the Carriage House and 1st bus stop
2) Congress Park - access to Downtown Disney and the quiet pool/hot tub area
3) Paddock - a little more serene and I know this may sound corny - I really enjoy the walk across the footbridge first thing in the morning.

We never have a car and always use the bus system. I guess we have been fortunate that we have never had a problem with the bus service...ever. Maybe once we waited 20 minutes for a bus, our usual wait time is under 10 minutes.

Are all areas walkable to DTD? We don't mind a nice, long walk (as long as we have our strollers!)
