I'm reading Angels and Demons right now. I just finished John Grisham's "The Brethren"

Just finished reading "We Need To Talk About Kevin" -- it's about a woman who writes letters to her husband in the months following their son's Columbine-like murder spree in the local high school. The letters offer up insight into her life before, during and after their children grow up and this event happens. Very interesting! It's my book club's pick for June.

I just started "Around The World in 80 Dates" by Jennifer Cox. True story about a woman who travels the world, going on 80 dates, looking for her soul mate. Interesting premise, kind of lighter than what I usually read. That's the book club's July pick.

I also started (in conjunction w/reading the Kevin book) "As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner b/c it's part of Oprah's book club. However, I find that it's a bit tedious for summer reading and have set it down for a bit. Not as much "fun" as I'd like a summer reading book to be.

I'm like this whenever I think my dh will accept another job as a contract engineer.

Because of a thread like this I decided to read a series in order written. I am reading Four Blind Mice by james Patterson(the Alex Cross series) only 2 after this one and I will have caught up with the author.

Wasn't she the good friend of the Captain of the Andrea Gail? I would like to read that. I was fascinated by the story of the Andrea Gail and I loved the series "The Deadliest Catch".

I am re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to refresh my memory in time for the next book. I just got out of school on Thursday so I think I am going to hit the library and stock up on lots of fresh summer reading, too.

Look for a book called "The Fur Person." It's a wonderful little book! I can't remember the name of the author (I loaned the book out and it never came back - I hate that!) and it may be out of print, but I've seen it on Amazon's used book lists.

I'm currently reading A Cat Named Darwin a sweet story about a man falling in love with a stray cat. I am a new cat mom so everything cat is appealing to me right now. My reading tends to be solely about cats these days. Next up is a book I ordered about animal shelters (from a mention in Cat Fancy) called One At A Time about a week in a California Animal Shelter and all the animals that come in and out and what happens to them. It looks to be an interesting and emotional look into animal shelters and the furbabies that end up there.

I'll tell you what, I bought that book for the airplane ride over to WDW, and probably spent more time reading it than I did going to the parks! Sad, isn't it, but it's THAT good. I finished it before I got on the plane to go home.
