What are your shameful Disney secrets....

I have so many Disney CDs that I could start my own Disney radio thing.

When I'm alone I listen to park music in the car, especially parades.

Me and my WDW music: We're jammin in the jungle to the rhythm of one. :faint:

The one ride that does stick in my mind from my first trip to EPCOT Center in 1983 was Figment 1.0.

There is one ride I MUST ride everytime we go and that is Spaceship Earth. That is the first ride I ever went on and I am still in awe every time I walk up to it.

I love figment, TTA (I still call it the people mover) and a place where I must stop for lunch every trip is Casey's...don't know why, but...it's a hot dog, but I love them.

The thing I hate the most is the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway... You wait inline for what feels like a day to ride a jalopy around a rail... FUN! I managed to stay away from the "thing" for my first several trips, then I had a daughter... She loves that ride, makes me go on it and thinks it's the coolest thing ever... If a hurricane ripped through the MK and took this "thing" with it, I for one wouldn't miss it...

What I love? Space Mountain... Most people scream, and scream and scream some more... Me? I giggle like a school girl the entire time... No matter how tired, cranky or hot I am I get on SM and it takes all that away...

I am not a big fan of the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. After all the hype we were so excited to see it, but it was way to corny for us we left half way through it. I won't say never again because maybe if I had children it will be a different experience but for now I don't understand why people love it so much.

Enjoy: IASW (especially DL's version) :cloud9:, COP :goodvibes

Dislike: I'm on the turkey legs bandwagon - blech!!

I would be totally happy if we never went to Chef Mickey's ever again. Too bad my son loves it.

We love listening to the music on resort TV. Our kids fall asleep to it everynight we're on vacation.

Things I don't like: Dole Whips, they taste like medicine to me. DTD, I just don't care for the shops there and I don't care about DisneyQuest. Country Bear Jamboree, I'm just so over it and have been for years.

Things I do love: IASM, I don't get why people always make fun of the song?? I love the song! Dumbo, everyone says it's just a carnival ride. No! It's Dumbo! You get to ride in an elephant and go round and round Fantasyland but I do like the DL one better than WDW because of the water fountains. The DL version of Winnie the Pooh, a lot of locals trash this ride but I think it's totally cute and I'd rather have that then those stale old Country Bears back anyways.

In MK I have to walk slowly up Main street, stop in the bakery and have cherry danish.
In Epcot I have to ride Figment, every day that I go to Epcot, we ride figment. :lmao:

I love the TTA (yes I still call it the Wedway people mover too!). I love lunch at Tony's, dinner there not so much. Always have to get a bucket of popcorn.

I definitely have to agree about the Turkey legs, I can't watch anyone eat them. :scared1:

My shameful secret is that we park hop to much. We will go to MK spend an hour then decide really it is an MGM studio day. So then we jump over there. This will happen several times per trip in no particular park order. We waste so much time in transit from park to park.

I like the Ellen ride, it's nice and relaxing....

I also love the people mover, a great way to sneak in a nap!

:rotfl:

Is the TTA widely looked down upon? I've seen a lot of people mention it here that they love it, and I always assumed that was the consensus because I know that we sure do! We ride it at least 4-5 times each trip! :cloud9:

I love Ellens Energy ride. For some reason it ranks up there with Carousel of Progress(I realize that some dont like that one but many consider it a great) and Spaceship Earth. Those are the kind of rides that make disney unique. Anyone can do a thrill ride, I go to disney for the stories. I do like almost everything at disney world though. Sounds dangerous is terrible IMHO but I enjoy almost everything for the most part.
I can't say I agree with you on Ellen's Energy ride (sorry :flower3:), but I do love CoP! I can't believe I forgot to add that one in my original post.

Same here! We have a ton of Disney music (and we don't even have kids yet!). Every time we go to/from DL, we always put on our Disney playlist! We also always bring it with us when we have our rental car in WDW. :wizard:

Loves:
Muppetvision 3D. Been on it so many times, I can recite the whole show.
Breakfast at Trail's End and the Campground in general

Dislikes:
Maelstrom. The line is always TOO long, and it's over in what feels like 20 seconds. What is the point?

I'm with most of you on park food. I think it's special mostly because you're there. I love Mickey bars, Dole Whips, Casey's, Popcorn carts (especially buying it in the bucket) and anything else you all can add to this list!

Okay, I very much do that too!! :dance3: Nothing gets me in a good mood after a horrible and stressful day like listening to Park music. (My hubby just doesn't get it and gives me that look when it comes on the ipod .. :rolleyes1

Loves: TTA, which will forever be the Peoplemover to me. What better way to feel a cool breeze, check out the wait times throughout Tomorrowland, and kick up your feet?!
Also, I always have to eat at Paco Bills. Why? I can't answer, but that fixin bar for my burger...mmmmmmm :worship:

Loathes: I thought long and hard about this. I HONESTLY cannot think of one. I get that tingely feeling everywhere at Disney--even the not-so-fun Winnie the Pooh ride.

The ride I don't understand why it is still open is Ellen's Energy Adventure?

Of course I love Figment. Yes version 1 was better but glad the attraction still exists.

I still get goosebumps when I go to the parks.

Never understood Imagination...at least the most recent incarnation.
Love Ellen's Energy Adventure.

And really don't see the point of Fantasmic.

STACEY!!!!!!!! :rotfl:I know she makes people's ears ring. They find her annoying. I don't care. She's been on so long now, she's become a part of the experience. You get to your room, turn on the TV, and boom - STACEY TIME! I could watch her go on and on acting ridiculous and silly all around WDW over and over and... I do. Yeah I said it.

For as much as I love Disney now, and am fairly geek about it, I spent a good 10 years or so (up until about 2007) as a fairly avid Disney hater. Had frequent trips as a child/teen with my family, and some of the latter ones really started to ruin it for me. (Long story)

But all that said, so glad to have had kids and bringing them be the means of finding my way back to the magic.

I don't like Fantasmic!. I think it's kind of dull by Disney standards.

I like Illuminations and the music I especially love, but I think the action in the middle of the lake (when it's just the floating globe showing video, and nothing else going on) needs an overhaul/improvement.

Of course, there's too much that I love to be able to point it all out! :sunny:
