What are your shameful Disney secrets....

The attraction that I love - the TTA. I ride it 4-5 times a trip. Sometimes we even make two loops in a row! It is always our first ride of the trip.

I also do not get turkey legs. I like turkey, don't get me wrong, but they look so greasy and disgusting! :scared1: Ever wonder how many calories are in one? I bet you would never eat one again! Answer: Approx 1200!!

Found this startling fact from a web site:

All turkey legs are created equal.
One item of interest I received from the Disney nutrition e-mail contacts was a list of portion sizes and general ingredients for several common snack and counter-service items. I compiled a couple of those documents to create the table below. It’s worth doing a little research into the caloric content in these foods - for example, one turkey leg contains approximately 2 calories per gram, or over 1400 calories. Articles like this one from the Orange County Register are rare, but seem to support general guesses, which is all I can make until Disney starts publishing nutrition information.

Did you get that people 1400calories, wholey schnikes:eek: I would of thought that the leg would of been better than that, I thought turkey would be a healthier option:sick:

It's actually emu not turkey, and it's fried.

FYI a big mac and fries runs you 800 calories assuming a diet soda and insane amounts of fat. But I'm not gonna get into a health discussion lol cuz very little of what we eat is in anyway good for us.

Ok so my secrets...well I live here so I can't speak for doing one thing or another EVERY time I go to the park, because that's a lot and I go for different reasons.

1. I can't stand test track. BORING!! Wait in line for 120 minutes to be in a convertible. I'll be over at Mission Space
2. I've never been on the Jungle Cruise
3. I still cry at the end of illuminations. I just have sssooo many memories of watching that show that all come back
4. I can start singing the wishes fireworks show judging only on the fireworks that are going off and frequently start doing so for guests on my boat
5. I love fantasmic but rarely get to see it due to my work schedule :-(
6. Stitch's great mistake indeed!
7. I absolutely LOATHE what DTD has become! It irks me to no end that they close their nightlife district, then have the audacity to start a "have the Night-Time of your life" campaign for DTD. re-open the damn clubs!!!! I want somewhere to go to dance and have fun at night that doesn't consist of a mix of wedding songs(at best) CLEAN UP THIS MESS!

seriously though, I go to the parks so often and for so many different reasons, there really isn't one thing I go for consistently. I almost never go to DAK and only go to DHS if I think I have a shot at getting on TSM. I go to EPCOT the most because it absorbs crowds and I like WS, and I go to MK when I'm in need of some "magic" or just want to enjoy the atmosphere.

Really? That is my favorite part of a day at Epcot. I LOVE IT!!! Thank goodness we don't all like the same things - imagine how long the lines would be if your favorite was everybode else's too! :scared1:

I agree with you! Lines would be astronomical if we all did!!!:lmao:

Illuminations - this surprises me when I think about it.
I like the music better than the show.

I love the music and listen to it on my iPod. The music of pretty, soothing and majestic. The last third makes me move faster on the treadmill.

But when I watch it, I find myself getting bored during the "slow" parts. Shame on me!

ok so here I go
i LOVE the turkey legs! However I have never had one, i just like to see them, I guess because I never see them anywhere but MK. I love the monorail, wishes, illuminations, and IASW.

not into; Narcocess, Gf, Stiches escape, and too much of the same merchandise in all the shops.I hate the new Mexico boat ride, I still sing the old song when I am on it! For the most part I love it all and can't wait to go back!!!!!

I would be totally happy if we never went to Chef Mickey's ever again. Too bad my son loves it.

I have to admit that I really don't care for Chef Mickey's either. It was the worst place we ate on our last trip. And for whatever reason, my DD remembers ONLY that restaurant and says its her favorite! ACK!

My shameful Disney secret is that I hate the Wishes song. I love all of Wishes except for that song - it sounds like a bad version of a Lawrence Welk song and makes me cringe every time I hear it.

Okay, I feel better now that I got that off of my chest. :goodvibes

Ummmmmmmmmmmm...........WHAT!?!!?! :scared1: ... :faint:

I LOVE the Wishes music/song. I have the CD and listen to it frequently
Wishes is one of my most favorite things at WDW.

I don't know how shocking it is, but I can not stand Star Tours. I hate the whole thing. Even the gift shop. It's not the fact that it is Star Tours. The entire thing is just so poorly designed. Oh, and except for the actual theming, I think Expedition Everest is horribly boring. Probably because the Yeti doesn't work anymore... :sad1:

My guilty pleasure would probably be the pizza. While it is not the best pizza ever made (not by a long shot) it still is tasty and there is nothing like coming back to the resort after a long, tiring day at the parks and lying in bed eating pizza. It is greatness.

My shameful secrets: I wasn't too impressed with Illuminations. I didn't think it lived up to the hype.

I love Stacey and still quote her all the time with my family.

I tear up at wishes when Peter Pan says "I wish we'd never grow up. Off to Neverrrlaaannd!!" Because I don't want to grow up either.

I have the same thing with the Peter Pan part!

Not intererested in TTA, Tonga Toast, Zebra Domes, School bread, Hoopty Doo Review have never even been to the pavillion with Ellen and Body Wars. The incessant napkin waving at Chef Mickey's drives me nuts!!! I feel like I can't eat in peace. Always with the interruptions.

Shamefully, I have never seen Illuminations. I can't bear to hear regular wishes right now because it will be to long until we will see it again because we went in December and will be going in December again for our next trip. It makes me pine. I must admit that although I love Disney at Christmas time, the thought of sitting through the Candle Light Processional reminds me of the pinned up feeling of being in church next to Grandma unable to move or say a word, seems like torture.

I really love the lameness of Maelstrom and the Mexico ride before and after refurb. Love living with the land. I'm just as excited as my 6 year old to see the characters. I would rather go to WDW than anywhere else in the entire universe. I was secretly bummed about having to cancel one of our Disney vacations to go to West Africa. I was just sure Disney's version of Africa was a lot more awesome than God's. Disney has me so close minded and locked in.:sad2:

Shameful secret? I guess it's not really a secret, but I didn't get to go to Disney until I was an adult. My parents were simply not Disney people - in fact, they were the polar opposites! I think they got hives at the very thought of going. So at 25, I walked into MK for the first time, and I *swear* I was 5 again. I promised myself that when I had kids, I would take them to Disney. Multiple times. The guy who became my DH was of the same mindset, and we're about to go three years running with the DDs and two years running with just us. I'm making up for lost time. :)

On a more specific basis:

1) I have yet to try a Dole Whip. I have my doubts.
2) We (and I mean all four of us - DH and two young DDs included) don't like the standard WDW mac and cheese. Seriously, they can't do better than that? But we love the Mickey mac & cheese found at the higher-end places, and we come home with a good half-dozen boxes of the stuff.
3) On a trip down for a wedding a few years back, I ate 2-3 Mickey ice cream sandwiches a day for the whole visit. After that, I banned them from my snack list.

Oh! And we totally bribe our kids (to sleep, get dressed, brush teeth, you name it) at the resorts with the classic Disney cartoon channel.

I had to really thing about this.......

1. Animal Kingdom Lodge does nothing for me, I totally don't get the appeal. And I really like Animal Kingdom park, but have no desire to stay at AKL.

2. I don't think Fantasmic is worth getting to the theatre more than 30 minutes ahead of time. I'd never go to theatre 60-90 minutes ahead of time to wait. If we don't get in 30 minutes before, no biggie.

3. I think the whole New York streets set up at DHS is a complete waste of space.

4. Not really shameful...American Idol Experience is one of the dumbest/worst idea attractions at WDW ever.

I am one of the few people I know who disliked both
the food and entertainment at the Hoop-dee-doo. Everyone
else in the group (there were 10 of us ) enjoyed it a lot.....

Like many others have mentions, I don't like DHS. It's the only park that has no "must do's" for me to experience.

My shameful secrets are

(1) I love the Tiki Birds and the Country Bear Jamboree! I think I inherited this from my mother, who to this day, raves about the tiki birds. They hold a special place in my heart though because on my last trip, my then 17-month old daughter loved dancing in both of them. (And I'm still upset the CM wouldn't let me video my daughter dancing!)

(2) I'm the only person I know who doesn't like Buzz Lightyear. It's a complete yawn. (probably because I'm so competitve that I don't allow myself to compete at things; I once went two years without talking to a friend who beat my at Trivial Pursuit) Although I haven't yet experienced TSM, I have serious doubts based on its description.
