What are your shameful Disney secrets....

I don't know how shocking it is, but I can not stand Star Tours. I hate the whole thing. Even the gift shop. It's not the fact that it is Star Tours. The entire thing is just so poorly designed. Oh, and except for the actual theming, I think Expedition Everest is horribly boring. Probably because the Yeti doesn't work anymore... :sad1:

My guilty pleasure would probably be the pizza. While it is not the best pizza ever made (not by a long shot) it still is tasty and there is nothing like coming back to the resort after a long, tiring day at the parks and lying in bed eating pizza. It is greatness.

yuckkkk florida pizza :scared1:
maybe i'm just spoiled with new york/jersey pizza :goodvibes

Here's my "secrets"...

I like Living With the Land, the Tiki Room, and Small World.

I see absolutely no point to Dumbo when we can just take the kids on the Magic Carpets with a much smaller line (and they love it).

Fantasmic is a nice show but not worth having to get there 45 minutes early.

I enjoy eating at Planet Hollywood and the ABC Commissary.

I think the pizza is just fine (for a theme park, at least).

I have been there for a total of about 50 days and I still can't find my way around the parks :guilty:

I have to get my desserts first from the buffets, in case they are not there when I am done with my meal ;)

I sometimes like the hotels and recreation more than the parks :confused3:

I have trouble sleeping when I am there because I am too excited for what's coming the next day! :)

- I love the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. It's one of the few things I remember from my first trip at age 4 and I loved it then and now. :goodvibes

- I listen to the podcast each week on my laptop and I stream Dis Radio at a low volume in the background at the same time. It gives me the ultimate Disney experience each week. :thumbsup2

- I love reading trip reports, but have a hard time reading one if the family is staying at one of the resorts I dislike. I'm a freak, I know. :snooty:

Love Figment, but I do like the original ride better than the one they have now. I have to do Mickey's Philharmagic around 5 times each time I go.
If you ever make it back to the Coral Reef, try the steak, best steak I have ever had, beyond that just let me watch the fish, you can keep the rest of the food. Never had a dole whip, going to make it a priority in May when we go. Hmm..
Always wanted to sit in Canada and watch the guys in kilts, but my kids won't let me.
Tried Tower of Terror, not impressed!

I think Illuminations is dumb. What's with the globe thing anyway? :confused3

Parades except Spectromagic: complete waste of time and I always end up stuck on the wrong side of the street!

This isn't my secret, but my family's.

No one in my family, not my mother, not my stepfather, not my sister, not my sister's fiance, likes Soarin' at all. They didn't like the smells, and thought it was not at all worth the mad dash we had to do to make it on the attraction before our dinner reservations.

And, I have to say, while I do enjoy Soarin' more than my family ended up enjoying it, I'm not sure I understand waiting 2 1/2 hours to experience it.

I love, love, love The Land ride. Always have, it is a must do for every trip. Luckily my DH will ride along with me even though he's lukewarm about the ride.

Also love Figment, and I'm one of the odd ones who actually enjoys Universe of Energy with Ellen. Perhaps more so because we did a behind the scenes one time where we were actually in the scenes while the ride was going on...very fun.

Things I don't like that most do- I know this will shock most, but I can't stand the Jungle Cruise. Probably has to do that my oldest Daughter has to ride it 2-4 times per each trip and we are now making several trips a year. The jokes rarely change. The only hope is for a really good boat captain.

Thing I most like that most might not- I absolutely love the Cupcakes at the Main Street Bakery. Got to have one every trip, no matter what, and I swear they are better there than at the resorts.

I really pushed to have a vacation this summer at disney and got my way. Now one family member can not come because they can not get off. It is the best time for my family because of school. I really feel bad because I really wanted her to come. Because of this it has I feel like not excited as I should be. Arg! what would you do?:guilty:

Here we go....I am embarressed to say I cried on Soarin, didnt like it, had to shut my eyes, and everybody says its wonderful...it scared me to death.

Also I like the RainForest Cafe...and have no young children anymore.

I think thats it, but if I think of another I will jump in

Angie

Positives: I am a 38 year old man, and i tear up with joy and excitment as the Ferry pulls into the Docks at Magic Kingdom.
I LOVE Stitches Great Escape.
I LOVE Carosel of Progress (and the song!!!)
I love the Tangerine Cafe in Epcot, even though the Shawrma is dry.. i don't care.

Negatives: I really, truely, do not like Kali River Rapids. I don't get it. the line is so big, the ride is so short. Even my local park's Tube ride has better theming, and is longer. I really think they cheaped out with it. I will NOT ride it without a fass pass, and even then only if the kids beg for the fast pass.

Maybe someone already posted this one but I can't stand "sounds dangerous" at DHS! More like "sounds stupid". What a waste of time!

I love spaceship earth ride at epcot. Nice place to get off your feet at the end of a long day!

I've been to Disneyworld and Disneyland several times and have still never been to Tom Sawyer Island or the Pirates Lair in either park. I don't know why, it just doesn't call me that much... Maybe next time??

:rolleyes1

LOVE Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge, Mara at AKL (best chicken Ceasar salads on property!), and The American Adventure!

DISLIKE Dole Whips, Hollywood Studios, Splash Moutain (the drop is too much for me!), sit-down meals (overpriced and food is just so-so, IMO), and anything to do with Pirates!

For me, Chip and Dales Mickey shaped Pretzels. Yes I know they are pretzels and I can get them anywhere. But they just are not the same.

Dole whips... I have a love hate relationship with them. I get the float one everytime, Im not a fan of the icecream really but LOVE the juice. Every time I say I should just get the juice. I go back everyyear and every year I forget to do this.

The popcorn is addictive. When I was pregnant with my son, every day at 11am I had to have thier popcorn. Often the carts were not open yet and I would stand and wait for the poor CM to finish making thier popcorn so I could get some.
Now when we go, DS and I have to get our own buckets, he and I can't share.

I have a small crush on Christian, the cruise director from the PCC 1.0. Sometimes, I will watch our cruise video so I can see him.

I am not a fan of Animal Kingdom.

I hate the new ending to Spaceship Earth. it used to be my favorite ride, and the peaceful, reflective, downwards spiral with all the beautiful lights was part of the experience. Now, it's just another computer game at the end, where everyone is concentrating on themselves. Me me me. No longer a chance to relax and think about where we started from and all the things we have accomplished. It makes me so sad. Don't really care to ride it anymore.

Confessions: I have never watched Fantasmic, and I really don't like Epcot!:bored:
