What are your plans for NY'sEve?

DD13 is having 8 of her friends over for a sleepover NYE party so I'll spend the day helping her clean up the playroom, cook, and decorate. Originally, I had no plans but several invites have arrived recently and I think I'll head to a small dinner party and be home by 9pm to supervise the party.

I work NY day and then Sunday is Patriots v. Miami to bring us 14-2 and one game closer to the Superbowl:banana::banana: I'll most likely take down the tree that day too because we're going skiing that week and I need to clean up the holiday before we leave.

I think New yrs Eve was only a big event to me when I was single;)...when me and my friends were single we would plan it for weeksn..Now..since being married, I dont think we have ever done anything special for New Yrs eve..I remember a few we had friends over to watch movies..but that was years ago. Im normally in bed by 10pm, so rarely do I stay up to midnight just to bring in the new year. Sometimes I buy some really unhealthy food and make it for us(the kids really love this)and we get some sparkling juice, that is about as exciting as we get over here :thumbsup2

Four hours of bowling with a buffet and a mock NYE countdown (from 4-8 pm). It's our 3rd year doing this and it gives us something to do. Prior to that, we did absolutely nothing.

Almost forgot to mention, we will be making bacon & pineapple and pigs in a blanket for later in the evening.

We haven't completely decided yet. We may end up going to the bowling alley to hear a local band, or we may stay home. I'm going to buy our traditional NYE food just in case we do stay home. If we go out we'll just eat it NYD instead. Definitely plan to watch the Rose Parade on NYD.

We are going out for an early dinner with my two aunts and grandma before coming home and having friends and family over for desserts and games.

NYD we go to my Grandma's for the traditional pork and saurkraut dinner. I might go see a movie with my Aunt before that though.

:banana::yay::woohoo:

We never go out on NYE. My husband and I are going out to dinner the night before to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. We're going to P.F. Changs, one of our favorite restaurants.:)

We're keeping our grandson overnight on NYE, so it'll be an evening of playing with him and eating pizza for dinner, then when he's in bed, probably a movie or card game, then watching the ball drop in Times Square. Couldn't ask for a better way to ring in the new year!:thumbsup2

Quiet night for us too. before kids, we would go to a party hosted by our friends every year, now we stay in!

We will probably get Chinese take out and watch movies and be asleep by midnight. Sounds good to me!

For those of you who are going out - and excited about your plans - I hope you have a wonderful time seeing in the New Year.. Please be safe in your travels..:thumbsup2

For us quieter folks, taking it easy and just hanging out isn't a bad way to start off the New Year either..;)

Whatever your plans, I hope they're everything that you wish for..:goodvibes

I'm playing a gig at a local country club with a six-piece band. :thumbsup2

We'll be having a little party, just the four of us, plus our youngest son's best friend who will be spending the night.

We are actually doing something this year! My Mom, Dad and brother will be coming over (maybe a friend or two as well). We will be doing appetizers and games till midnight. I picked up some confetti poppers (my sons favorite part!) for midnight. New Years Day we are hosting or very first (hopefully of many more to come) New Years Day brunch! I am so excited!!! Then after brunch we will all be watching the Rose Bowl and hopefully a win for Wisconsin! (Gotta rep the Big Ten!) I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!

I can't wait for New Years eve!! Gonna cook some steaks out on grill, mashed taters, baked mac n cheese for my hubby and best friends that are coming over. Also gonna make my pumpkin dumpkin desert and of course have mixed drinks on hand and some to make in blender! We are also gonna play some board games. Should be an awesome time!!

We never go out because we are also afraid of the crazies on the road. BUT this year, our neighbor invited us over. We live in a condo and she is right next door. So unless a crazy runs us over on the sidewalk in our quad, we should be all right!!
