What are your normal working hours?

8-5 with an hour lunch a M-F. My husband is technically on call 24/7 but typically is at work from 6am-6pm M-F and for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday.

When I worked I was typically 7:30am-3:45pm. When I worked in a special program within the district, I worked really odd hours because they wanted me there many Saturdays and some late afternoons. I could work a little bit of a flex schedule OR I could choose to get overtime.

DH works 7am-4pm during non-busy season. During busy season it is more of a work until it is done.

Normally M-F from about 745am to 515pm. But I can start a little earlier or later if I want. Or take Monday or another weekday off and work Saturday or Sunday instead. I'm supposed to be on the clock for a minimum of 45 hours per week, salary. Occasional evening, weekend, or even overnight work is necessary. For a rare project, I'll get OT for more than 45 hours.

ER charge nurse. 5:45a-6:15p, 3 days a week.
I work 3 days a week, every 3rd weekend.
I LOVE the schedule I work. I am not a M-F girl. I love my time off during the week.
We get a 30 minute lunch. Sometimes less, sometimes more. We do what we can, when we can.

M-F I work from 7 to around 4, sometimes later. Around 20 minutes for lunch. On Saturday I work from 9-1. Last year I was also working on Saturday from 9-1 and then later on from 4-9:30. Sunday I worked from 1-6:30. I went from sept 1 to oct 12 without a day off. It was tough. I am so glad that I don't do that anymore!

6:30 am to 4:30ish pm Tuesday-Friday. We have a 30 minute block for lunch but depending on what the patient in the noon slot is being seen for, that can turn into just 5-10 minutes very easily.

11:30 - 8pm weekdays, 8 - 4:30 on weekends. On alternate Fridays I may be allowed to leave an hour or two early when I work 8-4:30, but on my 8pm nights or on the weekends, never. I am the closer most of the time. I get an hour for lunch except on the weekends because there's no one else there to cover me. They're usually pretty flexible though, if I have an apt during the week I can be a little late and things like that. I can go home for lunch or run errands during that time. I'm pretty happy overall.

2200-0630 with Saturday and Sunday off and 30 minutes for lunch. If I'm working OT I come in at 1800 hours.

Monday - Friday
9AM - 1PM & 2 PM - 4 PM - 1-2 is my lunch

every other Thursday I go to work at 7:30 AM

Every Thursday PM Memorial Day to Labor Day I work until 7:30 PM with the Farmers Market

(this doesn't include luncheon meetings or weekends that i end up workign anyway)

I'm a consultant and get paid for a 40 hour week. I don't usually take lunch. I brown bag it and eat at my desk. That being said I usually work more than the 40 hours. Typically it's 8-4:30/4:45.

At my former job I was salaried and worked 8-5:30 or later. Just the nature of the beast.

24/7 I'm a mom

Well then make my 24/7 too as I am also a mom.

By that standard, most of the posters could say 24/7. I'm a parent too. I work 7a to 7p a couple days per week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Today I'm doing 3 to 11.

The rest of the time I am off, and make no mistake, being with my kid is not considered work or my job. It's my privilege to have a family, something I feel very blessed to get to experience. Even those without kids have responsibilities outside of work, it's not like life says "oh, snap, you work at a paying job, here let me do the laundry and buy the groceries and cook the food for you".

Monday-Friday I'm scheduled 7a-3:30. But my manager and my job is generally flexibile and I tend to work 7:30-4:00pm. That being said, I do work a lot from home and Every other Sunday I spend about 4 hours completing payroll from home :)

Does no one here work just 8 hours and get paid for lunch?? It looks like all are 8 1/2-9 hour days?? I retired a few months back but worked 8am-350pm- got paid for lunch and breaks and leave 10 minutes early for "clean up time"- that is a standard 40 hour pay week.

I usually work from about 8:15 am-5:15 on with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Some days though I can be working until 7pm depending on how much work I have.

Depends upon how many orders we have. I'll start working between 10:15-11:00am. Quit anywhere between 3:30 and 5:30.

We were given the choice of five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hours. I like having a weekday off, it makes getting errands done a lot easier, especially if I'm doing business with a company that is only open m-f.

As for the lunches, when you work in healthcare it all depends on the patient. When they come in with a list of 10+ items they want to discuss while they happen to be in the office, a 15 minute appointment runs over into 45 minutes pretty easily. We can't tell the patient "sorry we can't deal with your problems because its lunch time."
